Does anyone know if I will be able to get my E-Gear through customs, or use them on the ship?
I sure wouldn't want to have all my stuffs confiscated either coming or going...We are going on a 4 day cruise on the
Carnival Paradise. We leave From Long Beach , Ca.
on March 02 / 2009
First stop is Catalina Island Ca. then to Ensenada Mexico and back to Long Beach,Ca.
Thanks a bunch!

I just took & used mine on the Elation 2/19. No problems getting it on. I carried on my cig style, mini & DSE901 - checked the chargers & juice in my suitcase.

I actully pulled out my mini (looks like a cig) at the pool bar late on the first day... and got quite an immediate reaction. Some people were curious & asked questions. Several were going to check them out when they returned home. BUT, the bartenders were a bit/very leery. I almost felt like I was doing something wrong just by the way they were eyeing me. So - for the rest of the cruise, I only vaped in the dimly lit disco & switched to analogs most of the time in public. It probably would have been fine, but I didn't want to spend my weekend explaining myself.

Have fun & please report back on your experience! I've got a week long cruise coming up on Spirit & will try it a few times onboard there as well.

Well we just got home today and had a blast.
Like you I carried my cig's on and left the liquid and chargers in luggage,no one batted an eye.
I mostly vaped in smoking approved areas (bars, outside decks and such) however while watching several shows I covered the led tip and puffed away, but blew the vapor towards my feet,or into my shirt and all was well!
At the karaoke bar I got several inquiries about my cigarette with the blue "cherry" (901 platinum) lol ,and spent some time explaning the process.
My friends and family who were with us were cracking up about How much my white 901 looked like an analog and about all the people I was meeting just because I had such a cool icebreaker.

Just got home from a 7 day cruise out of Baltimore on Carnival Pride. Funny thing was that the only person on the ship who knew anything about e-cigs was the Captain.......and it turned out that he had one himself! One couple we met even ended up going online on the ship and ordering 1 for each of them. The head person of the casino bar also ended up ordering one :D. We handed out so many business cards from the company we use that I should own their stock LOL

We went on a 7 day cruise this month, and I took a 401 and a 510 on board and vaped the whole time with no problems. At the non smoking poker table I vaped the whole trip without problems. It actually seemed that most of the people were appreciative because the vapor didn't bother them one bit. I think people will be very pleased with non-smokers reactions in places like casinos where they (non-smokers) really just have to deal with the smoke. You sit down next to a NS at a slot machine or something and they all of a sudden ask why they can't smell your smoke, then tell you its great and wish everyone would do it. I kid you not I probably could have sold 10 starter kits if I had the foresight.

I had no problems getting them on the ship or through Mexican security at all.

Had a funny experience in a cruise ship casino a few weeks ago. I sat down at a slot machine and noticed a fellow standing by his machine a few feet from me. He was looking at other people around him who were smoking and had a really disgusted look on his face. I pulled out my e-cig and began vaping.....he positively glared at me. :glare: Finally when I got tired of his whole anti-smoking thing I said, "it's not smoke". He was thrilled with the e-cig and by the end of the cruise he thought we were buddies against the smokers.....jeesh!:nah:

My wife and I are going on the Elation out of Mobile on the 18th of October. I expect I'll be stealth vaping most of the time I'm in non-smoking areas. I wonder if I'll get any questions about it otherwise. I've already explained to just about everyone at work about it and I'm just not used to strangers asking about it.

It's a fun way to meet new people and I think they're such a great alternative to smoking that I use every opportunity to tell everyone about them. And no, it's not just because I have a vested interest.

One of the non smoking places we used ours was on the non-smoking side of the Lido deck at the blackjack table (NCL). the smokers kept getting up to go over to the smoking side to have a cig but we just sat there puffing away....it was fantastic:D
