is there a way to pour out liquid from the v3 ce8? can the second silicone piece be taken out?

im going to try figure out why im getting the dry hits. using fairly thin liquid. (works well on phoenix 1.5 and 3.0)

Can't you just use the syringe to remove it with?... I could on v2 is why I mention/asked.

yes you are correct, i could do that but didnt think of it. i pried out the second silicone cap and was able to pour the liquid out.... didnt do me a whole lot of good since i cant get to the coils that way anyhow. im guessing one would have to open it up from the bottom to expose the coil/wick area.

Figured might as well start a thread as these should be hitting all who ordered today.

Got mine a little while ago. These are indeed very slick looking and feel well built.

Followed the fill instructions (filled completely holding upside down) with Backwoods Malty Toffee (70/30 blend if I recall).

Let it sit about 10 minutes and put it on the Provari. Meters at 2.5 ohms, right about where it should be.

First vape at 3.5v, little light on flavor, but nice. Afterwards, nothing but dry hits so far... I'll let this sit for a bit longer, probably lower the voltage even a little more and see what happens.

I'll amend this post with progress...

Update 1: Nothing at all but dry hits now (VERY harsh ones at that). I've pushed air through in both directions, and nothing seems to be helping it wick. I'm going to let it sit a bit more, and if still nothing, will pull the rubber plug to see if some air inside may help get things rolling. I've avoided this so far since it shouldn't be needed, and previous posts were pretty explicit that it needs to be fulled fully and upside down (which I did), for the "vacuum" to take over...

Update 2:
Still nothing but dry hits on this even at 3.2 volts.
Pulled the plug, let it sit standing, laying down, upside down, removed the rubber fill cap and re-inserted, shook it, blew in both directions, i'm running out of options, but I can't get this to wick for anything.... Any other suggestions? I can't even get one solid draw from this.
Next step will be removing some liquid and diluting further with some PG, but I wouldn't think 70/30 should be causing this much of an issue.
On the upside, it hasn't leaked....

This was my experience also, I took it apart and the coils were black as well the wick.

ok i think my v2 works a little better so far than the v3. if i leave it lay on its side a while and come back it spits some juice at me and get gurgly. and sometime i get a dry hit of some kind it isnt so much a dry hit taste but harsh on my throat. almost to the end of my first fill and it not my goto juice so i will switch when its empty and it should break in more and get better lol

Just screw it on your battery and wiggle it and pull at the same time. Comes off pretty easily.

thank you, i got it off easily that way. i still couldnt see the coils but i pulled off 1 small string of the wick and now its working much much better.
is there a way to pry up the metal cap a little bit, the one that goes over the wicking material?

Yes I just pulled it off with a small pair of pliers, I grabbed it on the bigger diameter, down by where the wicks come out, came off very easily also. I'm no expert, but I did not see any reason why this is not working very well, I re installed that wick cover and did not push it all the way down, maybe that will help.

Yes the phoenix is fantastic, TH and the vapor wow.
The only tiny complaint I have is finding that little hole to fill it.
Can't fill it driving, that's for sure.

ill be making a decision on the c8, i did my best to have them improved but still some folks arent fully pleased and its hard to keep wasting time if they cant get it right after everything that was done.

its basicaly the same as the phoenix3ml yet the phoenix works like a beast so the c8 might have to meet its demise soon.
