I have two efest batteries one 18350(800Mah) and an 18490(1100Mah) both purchased from 101 vape and two panasonic NCR18650Bs.
Been rebuilding coils on my IGO-L for a few weeks been keeping them at 1.7ohms or higher but just got a mechanical mod and would like to venture into lower ohms but not without the right knowledge on my battery limits. Any help would be greatly apprciated.

I generally add two volts to the coil ohm rating, and dial the taste in from there. i.e. if I'm using a 1.8 ohm coil I start at 3.8 volts, if it's a 2.5 ohm coil, I'll start at 4.5 volts. I then adjust it up or down from there depending on the juice to get the best flavor. It's all a personal preference from there. I am currently vaping 2 juices using the same coils in both tanks, and the Super Skunk taste better at .5 volts lower than the Virginia Fired tobacco.

I am going to give you advice that no one else will... If you want to go sub-ohm, do yourself a favor, and get a DNA20 mod. When you can go as low as 0.8 ohms, and crank up the wattage and regulate it, you won't have an issue buddy. However, those Efest batteries, be safe and lets say they have no more than a 10 amp limit (correct me if I am wrong), and those panasonics at close to 10 amps as well. I would hate to see that in the news paper (blowing yourself up...) There is no need for sub-ohm vaping!

my goal was 1.0-1.2 but if I build a nice coil just under that I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be that guy blowing my face off due to vaping im currently runnning 1.7 ohms on my IGO-L using 3/4 wraps of .3mmX.1mm kanthal ribbon wire on my Magneto and it is vaping just fine it comes out to right around 8watts I believe. I just want to start doing dual coil set ups on genesis style atomizers and know running dual coil the ohms can get pretty low if I'm not careful.
