I'm not stockpiling Vamos either but if I was under oath I might confess to a few still hiding around here. Not gonna throw them out, I figure they might be handy to have about 2025 or so.

Me too, GaryInTexas. I have eight of them, left over from the 2014 semi-scare. They're vacuum-packed with silica gel packets, to reduce possible problems from condensation.

They just work.

Only regulated mod I would personally trust for long term use.
Exactly! Provari's are very reliable. I just pulled out a 2012 bought mini that I hadn't used in 3 1/2 years, did not clean before I popped it in a Baggie and put it in a box. I cleaned it all up, cleaned all connections, put on a Carto and it fired right up :) Gotta love a Provari for long term.

For the long haul:
2 x 2.5 provaris
3 x lemo drops which I haven't used yet
Apx 3l of nic
120ml of wta

Also on hand:
4 x 30w isticks
1 x chinese temp mod
1 x evic vtc mini
2 x mechs
2 x mini zmax's v3
4 x nautilus
Various GS air tanks
2 x subtank minis
Various old school aerotanks, evods, mt3's, davide's that I never tossed

All I've bought this month is coils, coils, coils. Very boring vape mail. It's killing me not to stick a new mod in there. I hope to get another liter of nic too but it's bad timing budget wise.

Haven't seen a ProVari bashing thread in a long time. Let's NOT keep this going.... Okay?

Thanks!
I'm not bashing them, I'm just relaying my experience w/ them. they may work fine for some people just not me, my chip fried a capacitor after my first time dropping it with a battery in and I had one of the worst experiences since I started vaping trying to get them to replace the chip, I've dropped my sx/dna mods quite a few times and they work great... As far as their newer stuff like the radius, it's spendy for vw-only mod, menu is confusing as hell/hard to read and it doesn't have tc.

As I'm thinking, I still have a lot of old school gear in working order like spinners, mvp 2.0, vmods, ce4's, nova tanks...I bulked up on those to pass out to smoking friends. I even have an old carto tank with a couple packs of cartos that I forgot about.

Out of everything, if I were stranded on a desert isle, I'd want my provari 2.5 with me. That's the one I trust the most.

I have 3 roommates who smoke, only helped one switch and that's only bc he asked for help... I try not to pass out stuff like that to freinds who smoke bc everyone's needs are different... the vivi nova tanks weren't enough to get me to stop smoking (3rd try) plus I figure the possibility I might put them off of it and they go back to smoking for good is far worse... If they actually want to quit I let them try a few of my atty's and try to figure out what will satisfy them more than cigs, that's the key imo (funnily enough, usually it's a dripper). Otherwise I leave them be with their smoking.

On a desert island much rather have a mech that'll hit harder and work forever, but yeah I get that a lot of people still like it.

I've been doing this since 2008 and the last thing I want to go back to is my variable voltage Provari. I've got 3 and they all still work. As a matter of fact, the only device that I've ever had that did require service was one of my old Provari's. Funny thing is they did fix it, but it was the best of the best back then. And that "warranty" is no guarantee. The last time I checked, Provape was based here in the US (Wisconsin if I recall correctly). Provape could just as easily go belly up and take that warranty with them.

I'll admit, when I bought my Provari's they were a hell of a lot more than $27 and I've never bothered to look at any of their products or prices in longer than I can remember. It's about time the price came down on them - however, I don't care if they cost $10. It's still foolish. You're investing thousands of dollars into supplies to vape like you did in the dark ages. If you've been driving a Rolls Royce for as long as you can remember and they suddenly are unavailable, do you take all that money and go buy a fleet of Yugos? Not all of those supplies you need to make juice won't even last forever even if you freeze them.

It's also very easy to take an old Altoids box (or something comparable) and buy individual electrical components, solder them together and build a device that will eclipse anything that a completely useless variable voltage device can deliver in terms of value. Even if you can't build one yourself, there will be plenty of people offering their services to do so. A warranty won't even matter on a throw away device. Even a mech device, which is the equivalent of a flashlight will work better than a Provari - and with no electrical parts - will last longer than all of your supplies.

Edit - And BTW - the reason the Provari failed is it's shape and internal design. It would constantly either get knocked over or roll off the table if wasn't able to place in a stand. The way the board was attached inside the metal case was a major design flaw that I don't know if they ever changed.

once I found what worked for me ... I never bothered chasing anything else

lol, keep the hate coming dude ... I enjoy ProVape bashing as much as I do vape mail.

I have found out that most with a 20+ yr history of smoking can't handle d2l hits. I doubt if my lungs will recover that much. Big turn off are the words "more vapor" and "throat hit". That's why vaping has been so successful is that everyone can customize what works for them.

I have 4 Provari's 2.5 and a Radius...going to try to get another Radius! Love it! I have 4 liters of 100 mg nic in freezer ...I am at 2 mg but just in case I can finally talk my mother into vaping full time. I have about 20 Kayfun Lites that I have accumalated because I have always loved them. The rest that I need should be readily available so I think Im pretty well set. If worse came to worse at this time I could probably give up vaping....I just don't want to because I do enjoy it so much!

this was before they went on sale
What is your oldest Provari? Mine is a 2012 and hadn't used it in years and after a really good cleaning fired right up :) For me going from 808's to Provari was just so heavy and bulky, I went to ego VV's and cartos & clearo's for light and grab and go, but now I will sure use my tried and true Provari's :)

My oldest is/was V1 and it was apparently a very early one. I sent it in for the V2 upgrade and ProVape basically re-built the thing with all of the latest parts. They even put a new spring in it. I would have left it stock but was getting error messages. It's the one in the top row next to the ZAP attie :)

Meh. Where's the rest of your ProVape stash? :D
Come to think of it. Willie, you haven't posted a more recent picture, have you? We want the updated version!

Here, I'll even show you my current, updated collection:
