hey david. when you get time could you machine some kind of cap for the bottom of the P18 so it doesn't go off on it's own in a pocket? I was going to send it back, but it works great otherwise and you have the precise dimensions on your end.

as i told you I tried a 3/4" rubber furniture plug thing, but it was too big, and 7/8 was too big.

yeah i know you're busy making new products, but if you get the time to perfect previous versions that would be so great. Maybe something with an 0 ring to not scratch the bottom, but really i don't care if the bottom gets scratched. I'm more function over form.

thx!

omg thank you! let me see if i have one that fits. i spent so much time in lowes (plumbing/hardware aisles) and couldn't find anything to fit it. lol everyone asked me what it was.

i will hold the bottoms to my bottles up to it to see if i have one that fits. excellent idea!

juicefreak-take a softsided 6ml e-liquid bottle and cut off the top and slip it over the bottom.

david i'm good with the dings. doesn't effect performance. the stainless horn and brass button got dinged.

holy crap HzF8rGrl! a 10 ml HC bottle end fits. lol the label removal left residue that nail polish remover doesn't take off, but it WORKS! sweet.

david can we get custom colors? :)

thank you SO much! now i can safely carry it in the truck, pocket, etc. i really appreciate it!

So glad this helps. If it is hard to get off, you can put two small holes on either side at the closed end and insert a long twist tie. Twist the ends together on the outside of the bottle and you have a handle to pull with.

took my P18 in the truck today and no worries. omg what a relief. I emailed my friend that bought me the P18 as a gift and he's going to cut a HC bottle too :) this is an amazing temporary fix.

david how about one made out of delrin type material? John is going to check out copper caps in plumbing to see if he can rig something .. maybe with an O-ring, but since you have manufacturing skills, maybe you can come up with a durable cap like the bottle cap. I know you could sell them easily.

thank you again for the tip HzF8rGrl. Has to be the best tip I've read in ages! i love 'problem solved' tips :)

To make it sure fire-fire proof. Secure a penny in the bottom of the cup. If you're female and put it in your purse-no worries of anything pushing the bottom of the bottle and force firing.
Glad I could help with a short term fix.
David, your turn. We await the new button cup.
I still want my desk stand. LOL

++1 the penny is a good idea thank you! lol i lost my plastic cap yesterday in my travels. i'll have to make another one. I even markered it black so it wouldn't get thrown out as trash and i could see it better. it's lightweight and flimsy, so i'd need spares.

i bet a small hole in the body up near the seat for the neg battery end that had a little brass button that you could push to engage to break contact would work too.

a custom cap would be cool though. easy on the hands and maybe put a keychain link on it so it doesn't get lost.

i really do see a tremendous need for it so ppl can take their 2400 mah batteries out and about. that's the whole point in having a big battery = away from a wall charger.

I've played with some locking button designs for the Precise, so i may offer a optional drop in locking button that one can just drop into their Precise. So many projects, so little time...

oh goodie! spare parts. i love them. they are affordable and in the long run we can DIY maintain ours and not have to bother you lol ;)

the only other wish list item would be a tip like a dremel tip that has the right grit abrasive to shine up the center brass contact down the top hole. that's getting a sheen to it and contact isn't as good. I tried an eraser, but not enough oomph to it. I used brasso and soap/water, but the sheen (like a glossy machining mark) stays, even with noalox.

a hand held tip that won't do damage. i'd be afraid to run a dremel down that hole.

i promise that's all!!
