Try using the vape Mate to loosen the atty a bit. device disabled. Quick and dirty solution to this issue IMO.

I have been using the quarter turn on the atty method for a while. It is a good quick fix and almost automatic for me now, but I want a new toy darn it (and a 306 adaptor/t-tip too). Gimme gimme gimme I need I need

I would be interested in a lock-button and a desk-stand. Now, is it possible to make a charger that would charge the battery inside of the Precise via the atomizer port? This would be awesome for at work. Maybe I'll gut a wall charger and see about running one of the battery chargers to an atty connector and leave the other for the battery slot.

hi david... just checking in to see the progress on the locking button lol. i can wait :)

with many ppl using CE2's that have to remain upright, a desk stand would be very cool. i told my husband to drill a 2x4 lol i don't care.

meanwhile for those of us that are waiting, i found these at lowes that will enable you to carry it safely in your pocket. don't do it with a clearomizer for obvious reasons :)

Shop Waxman Heavy-Duty Black Hi Tip at Lowes.com

the package says Softouch 3/4" chair tip (20mm) 4 pack - item #0066944 (not the lowes item #). they are in the aisle near the drawers of rubber fittings, but the package is hanging on a rack. The backside says they are made by waxman model# 4656395N. the only thing i wish they did was sit flat in an upright position. there are probably other rubber 3/4" chair tips with flat bottoms that would do that, but these are the only ones i can vouch for.

1" is too large and 1/2" too small. BOIL the rubber tip and put it on your P18 while still hot (don't burn yourself!) and let it cool. I put mine in the freezer to cool b/c i was in a hurry. Once cool it's a bit of a tug to pull it off the first time, but it goes on easy after that and stays snug. your button may get stuck in the rubber tip when cooled, but don't panic, it does come out = push it from the bottom of the furniture tip. scared the crap out of me haha.

i still want david's locking plug when they are available, because everything about the p18 is classic and a keeper :)

I had just put in my order this morning, can I expect that mine will have the locking switch or would it be extra?

It will just have a standard button. The locking button is still in development. I have a prototype now, but need to make a few tweaks to it, including the locking tensioner.

I have been wanting to order a P18 but the 4-6 week wait for an antsy old guy like me has given me pause until I read this thread! Sounds like it is imminent as to production (the locking switch) which was my only concern of the precise since I carry in pocket!

I might add after reading many of the threads on this forum I get a better feel for why you never see a P18 for sale! :)

I think a lock will be a much needed addition to the Precise. Some will still prefer the non locking button, but for many the locking button will be a nice addition!

Just to throw this out there... the heavy-duty spring finally made it pocket friendly for ~me~. I'll probably do this too but I wanted to share that experience. -Magnus

Good to hear! I was loosing sleep over whether we sent you a regular or HD spring :)

Behind you
Now you've got me wondering about what the heavy duty spring should feel like. Oops.

I think the only solution here is for you to send me a whole new Precise P18 with a heavy-duty spring pre-installed for extended testing in both hands, switching hands, over the course of three/four years. *nod nod nod* -Magnus
