Customs PITA

My last shipment got handed over to Customs over two weeks ago.
When I finally located a supplier of hardware in the US, I ordered up a few extra batteries. (double the cost, but less shippin') Then ordered up some juice from another "local" supplier, reasonable price, and shipping.
next day, I get my order from China!
Dang, I'll have plenty of batts, juice, an' passthroughs, to last for years!
Now I needa find cartos that are reasonable in price.

Blue... wish you would have posted to ask us or searched the forum for "Handed over to customs" when you saw that!! You could have found:

"Handed over to Customs" is the common language for the shipment information. It wasn't in danger of being seized at that point! LOL

Always use the forum's search function... always ask questions if you can't find the answer. It is why we all hang out here!

So how long did the China shipment take in all? I always figure 20 days and I always order juice seperate.

I am assuming you are refering to slow boat shipping? Those take about 20 days for me as well. EMS typically takes 5. A lot of the delay in regular airmail, however is not the time it takes to get to the U.S, but then it sits in customs for way longer than EMS shipments do.

As a general rule I get my order about 3 or 4 days after it's been shipped. (within 6 business days of first placing the order).
This took over a month. and the bold red print "handed over to customs" led me to believe that it was lost.
Now on to the rest of the story.
The day after getting my shipment from China, The other two orders come in.
One company screwed up on the Bats, (we got it ironed out NP) and the other did real well on the juice, I like the Cherry, and one of the samples they sent is a blast, but the other one leaves quite a bit to be desired. NP.
