I don't know the exact length of time that packages actually sit in customs because I don't usually check the tracking # because I know from experience that if the package passes customs, then I will have it anywhere from 6 to 10 days of purchase, so I don't stressing myself out by checking everyday.

Just received a package Wednesday from the states (hardware only), and it took 8 business days to arrive, but no idea how long it was actually in customs. If something takes longer than 10 business days, then there is prolly an issue ;-)

Not true. I have had packages take anywhere from 3 business days to 20 business days to come from the US. It all varies as to how long its going to be, plus how it was shipped.

Plus with USPS being somewhat inconsistent lately its been all wonky

I think Canada customs has nothing to do with long wait times especially when it's a small order. It's all about the carrier. The longest wait I had was one of my orders from the US. Almost a month. The others were two-three weeks, which I found out to be normal regardless of what's in the order. The orders from China came less than two weeks. Unless I'm missing something it's never about Canada customs, it's about USPS. The tracking system is broken. Canada Post is slightly better. You can track Fedex orders every twenty minutes till it arrives. But not all vendors present optional carriers. And Fedex is much more expensive.
