Took me a couple months of high nicotine,(30-36mg) heavy vaping, (if my eyes were open I was vaping) and then little by little the craving for cigarettes lessened. I started vaping a little less, and found I could drop my nic level to 20-28mg and still not have any desire for a smoke. (surprised me even). You can try a little higher nicotine level if you're finding your're vaping because of craving a cig, OR drop the nicotine level if you're just vaping more for the flavor. (e-camel-lights :) )

Personally I've kind of gone the other direction...more hooked on vaping than I probably was on smoking. Used a 2 piece system with just a few flavors and low nic for 8 months before getting bored and switched to my current eGo and many yummy flavors in a higher nic level and loving it with no intention of quitting. Don't crave an actual cig and haven't since I started vaping but my new experiences with juices make me love it even more!

I started out at 36mg and I'm down to 12-18mg. I've come off of it naturally but probably vape more now than I originally did. Too tasty to want to quit. Alot more choices of flavors than smoking. New mods that I have to have and etc. I'm not interested in replacing my hobby/addiction with something else.

Depends on the day you ask me. Some days I think I should slowly wean myself off e-cigs. Other days I think e-cigs are for life. I'm just glad I haven't smoked an actual cig since Apr, 2010 - that continues to amaze me. I have cut back to 12mg nicotine. That's good enough for me. I'm as addicted to nicotine as ever. I just don't feel bad about it anymore because I'm not choking down cig smoke anymore. So, umm... forget the weaning... I think I'm here to stay.

Makes total sense. Still trying to find a good nic level -- seem to be in withdrawal before I realize there's a problem. The flavors are just so fun & Yummy feels like there are few un-vaped breathes ;).

But... Never want an analog if I can vape!

Thanks!

Exactly!!!

There's just so much to enjoy that a nasty cig has no appeal.

Ditto!

I have no plans of ever giving this up!

When I first started vaping I was going through 6-8ml of juice a day.

I have only been vaping for a month, so I feel qualified to answer this question.

Now I have cut down to 2-3ml a day.

I hope my experience helps someone.

You've only been vaping a month yet a member since '08? Appropriate screen name?

Wow, that's the quickest, most dramatic drop-off I've read about.

Thanks!

Congratulations!

Totally understand the "amaze"-ment. I smoked for 28 years / 2-3 packs per day. Thought I'd never really quit. I, too, continue to be amazed that there really is something to replace the absurdly prominent place cigarettes held in my life for so long.

And... It's fun, delicious, and there's a wonderful place online to visit with other folks that have worn the same shackles.

Freedom tastes like PA's "Waffle" today!!!
