Ok, I'm going to go against the crowd and suggest you vape lower nic juice for a couple of hours before bed. Get some 0% nic (same flavour) and either mix it with the 0.6% you're using, or use it separately.

Nicotine is a stimulant. It raises you blood pressure, heart rate, makes you more alert, etc. This makes sleep less likely.

Hi, I agree with the Less nic at bedtime advice. I would get a nice mild flavor with not too much sweetness, use it for an hour before sleep. Get rid of the computer, phone, and TV before going to bed, find a book you like and read yourself to sleep. I would add take 3-6 mg of Meletonin (over the counter) about 30 minutes before you want to go to sleep, it's herbal and will help set your internal clock for sleeptime.
I too Vape all day long, but if I'm working have no problem not Vapeing. Look for something to do that takes your mind off the yummy factor. Wish you all the best, and lots of great zzzzzzzzz. :2c: :)

Thanks, guys! I think I may have solved my vape issue *and* my insomnia issue.

I've been at work all day and did a mix of 6mg and 12 mg (presumably ~8mg net) and was able to put the device down and occasionally think other thoughts not involving strawberry cheesecake vape juice.

I have a book that I've been dying to read so I will give myself an 11pm bed time. I will have to pick up some lower nic juice and see if that helps. I think 0mg might be too much for me to bear, but the 1.8mg juice is a good compromise. I have to find a vendor who will mix that for me. Any online suggestions? I usually order from Vaperite or MBV and neither have that option.

Edit--I misread your post?

Anyway, you can always get 0 nic juice and add it to your 6 mg juice. for example. If you mix 0 mg and 6 mg (half and half), you'll get 3 mg eliquid. If you mix two parts of 0 nic with one part of 6 mg juice, you'll end up with 2 mg/ml. And so on...

Vape higher nic juice in the day and possibly vape a low nic at night to see if it will help with your sleeping. If you were getting to much nic you would definitely feel it. The molecules in vapor are much bigger and are not absorbed the same as smoke. I feel like I vape more than I ever smoked simply because I never smoked in the house so now I only vape when my eyes are open. It has been a year and a half and I still can't take a shower without having my tooter right outside the door. Obsessed? Probably. Happy? Without a doubt. Enjoy and don't let it worry you to much. Happy vaping to you.

I've found that the best way to control your vaping habit is to drip.
That way you only vape when you really want to vape.

I have yet to explore dripping. I am a lone vaper so I don't have any friends who can show me how that whole deal works. I will have to make time to visit a b&m to get some training. I can see how all having to actually use a syringe would slow me down quite a bit. No in bed, middle of the night tooting. :D

There are many ways to drip without using a syringe.

I generally buy my eliquids in 10ml bottles, or sample sizes, and just drip from those.
But there are a few eliquids that I buy in 30ml bottles and I transfer those into refillable 3ml bottles to carry with me.

think I might be *too* attached (addicted?) to vaping.....I sleep with the vape where a mate should be........In bed chain vaping and reading the Internet is the best thing ever.

It's all a matter of age and attractiveness. If you are youthful and good looking, then yes you are vaping too much if you are sleeping with your mod. If you are old and over the hill, then vape away!

Sleep doctors...don't get me started. A complete waste. I know I have poor "sleep hygiene." If I did all those things in your post, which are all of the things I have read over and over during my sleepless nights, I am sure I would be better off, but those things haven't been a magic bullet (magic sleeping pill?) for me. Did these things work for you?

Setting the mood before bedtime sure set the mood and slowed down my awareness (low light and no noise make the most difference). Reading in bed did help my eyes close. Monroe institute tapes or binaureal track still get me to sleep in record time. The secret pill is melatonin, and that definitely works.. to the point I had a real hard time waking up, but it will get me to sleep deeply whenever I take one (I believe those are not readily available in the US since it is an hormone though).

You can always order the lowest nic juice and some 0 nic juice and mix them to your preferred nic content. Just warm up the mix bottle under hot water and shake it thoroughly to make it really even.

You know, increasing the amount of nic is not all that crazy of an idea. I know I couldn't vape as much with 12mg of nic.

No one is disowning me or firing me so I think this is more of a Jess issue than a real issue. :D

Goodness, this thread is already to four pages! Yeah, try upping the nicotine! :)
