So, I finally got the set up I like. It is little complicated but seems to be keeping me happy. I have 24mg to vape in the early morning and if I get the overwhelming urge to have a smoke. I have 18mg for all day vaping and 12mg for the evenings.

I cut down by half of my 2 PAD [really, sometimes it was more] immediately upon getting the Volt three weeks ago. Cutting back by half has been completely painless.

Today I decided I was ready to cut back by 2 more ciggies a day and I actually cut back by 4!!! I'm going for it again tomorrow only I'm sticking with the cutting back by 4 since today was quite the success.

Just had to say how happy it makes me to know I am conquering the smoking and still staying happy by vaping.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I managed to stop tobacco about three days into my Volt use. Today is the first time I've had to conciously force myself not to hop into the Jeep and buy a pack of Marlboro. I know that if I do I will probably fall completely off the wagon and I don't want to do that. If tapering down works for you Lizzie, it's a great thing. Being an "all or nothing" personality has it's downsides. You are lucky indeed!

So much of this is mental isn't it. Whatever system works for you is the right system. I've only been at this for 3 weeks and I've stayed at 24mg...but just ordered some 18mg juice to try. If that doesn't work, I'll mix it with the 24mg juice...figure that's 21mg. Keep it up.

For me, it really is an emotional/mental process. Gaining confidence and moving forward a little at a time. I just happen to love smoking but I don't want to be pulling an oxygen tank around with me in another 10 years. E cigs are the best! I really think I can quit smoking with the ecigs as my life line.

By the way, I maintained my 16 ciggie goal today and tomorrow I'm going to 14. I have actually been going from 5:30 pm to 5:30pm with my goal. I think I need to simplify that by starting the goal in the am tomorrow.

Very true. I smoked Ultra Lights, so figured 12mg might do the trick, and for the most part it has been good. Also depends if you vape as often as you smoked - I wasn't a chain smoker, where there was always one burning. But I've turned into a chain vaper, so there is more of a constant dose of nic rather than occasional fixes every 30-60 mins.

I'd say don't get too focused on cigarettes or you'll end up wanting one just because you can't. Stress always made me smoke more. I didn't try to quit at first, in fact had given up trying, but then after I didn't have any for awhile (because I was vaping more and more)then I didn't want to. I had a week where in the afternoon I wanted a cigarette and got downright crabby about it, but it wasn't as bad, and didn't last as long as my previous attempts to quit and then I would go on break (I was at work) and vape and the craving was satisfied. So then I just hung in there with the e-cigs alone. I've heard you can get a WTA liquid with the accaloids (spelling?) in it. That can help I've heard. I didn't realize at first that when I tried to quit smoking previously, it wasn't just the nicotine I was addicted to, it was all the other stuff in tobacco, too, that I craved. I stuck it out, didn't last as long as I thought, wasn't as bad as I thought...and it's been a month and I don't want a cigarette anymore. (Woo Hoo!)
