cutting ss rope to size not going well

First may i apologize if this has already been answered?
I am having a really hard time cutting this ss rope. I have tried many different tools with no luck and even went to sears today and was advised to buy tin snips, but they are useless as they just fold the rope around them and fray it to pieces. i have tried quick chops slow chops wrapping the rope in electrical tape and faced due east standing on my head
I am trying to cut 3/32" 7x19 ss rope (ungalvanized)
What am i doing wrong?

I would think that heavy duty wire cutters should cut that rope. If you've tried that unsuccessfully maybe you could cut it with a hack saw with a metal cutting blade.

electrical tape and a cutting disk on a Dremel perhaps? I have heard them called zip disks before, but i think that's your best bet because of the higher RPM.

i use a dremmel with a cut off wheel but i wrap the cable with masking tape and its a perfect cut every time on medium speed
