Cyclone mod question.

Those of you that have modded a cyclone. If I get a top feed/afc combo would I have to drill the pin or would cutting the channel with a dremel work?

I have BF ones that were also drilled with a second, lower, larger feed hole. They feed and drain phenomenally. I would highly recommend this mod, but I can honestly say that it is above my head skill and patience wise

I also have a bottom feed cyclone with a lower hole drilled. I did cut a channel in a Patriot center pin and that worked ok. Drilling SS can be a .....

top feed would def need to be drilled to bottom feed, the cyclones seem to have 2 different center pin setups, one is a press fit while the other is screwed in. you can identify which you have by looking at the base of the pin, if there is a flat screwdriver slot then it screws in and if it's just a blank solid base then it's press fit. i think the press fit was the earlier design replaced by the screw in design but I'm not certain of this. my older cyclone was press fit and my brand new vicious ant atty was screw in, which by the way is very tightly screwed in too

my second one was so tight that I couldn't get it to budge and I had no patience at the time so I just drilled it out in place, the screw in type is tight enough that it can be drilled out without removing it if you had to, then cut a slot from the side as low to the base as you can for the feed hole, def can be done and worked out fine for me although I probably should have tried a little harder to remove the center post I guess

Thanks for the replys. I had the top feeder afc kit in my cart but, checked the classies again right before I checked out. Good I did cause I found a bf with afc and stock caps.
