Have any of you modded the Cyclone to allow it to drain? Really tempted on pulling the trigger on a BF Cyclone... looking at one as we speak... but would need to open up the air hole a bit... and would love to help the cyclone drain... and no idea how... is it something simple or would i need someone to do it for me? lol... if so would anyone be willing to do it for like 10 bucks

Deuce I have had the bf without the AFC for about 2 weeks and have left it stock ( feed hole and air hole). I am really enjoying it and don't find any problem with the way the juice hole is positioned in the post. No leaking or flooding at all. The atty is a delight to vape on both the Grand and the Mini 2.1. Micro coil/cotton @.8 on 28 gauge wrapped on the 1.5mm Gizmo great flavor and vapor production on a 20/80 mix.

this is awesome... i had thought people had said they were not a fan of the inability to drain... but that otherwise it was amazing

is the deck concave at all or is it flat?

I had another thread on the Cyclone and I think Turbocad was going to post a video on boring a lower hole in the Cyclone. If he does it there I'll repost it here.

thanks but not really sure id have the tools necessary... i mean... the most i got going for me tool wise is a hand drill... not sure that will work on the Cyclone... idk... i am thinking for now... stick to the RM2... and after the sub ohm kits are out, and i have my reo grand... then maybe start working towards a higher class atty, then another grand, or another grand then a higher class atty, or... idk...

ok so i guess im going to ask your guys opinion... should i get a cyclone with stinger drip tip for 80 (debate over after the excellent advice/opinion from xpuppy if i get the cyclone now it will be this with the fusion dt later... possibly...) or continue saving up for the grand when the sub ohm kit comes out...

of course i do kind of want another atty... so a rm2... so my 3 routes im debating on right now are...

1) Buy BF Cyclone with either Stinger for 80 (used set up) with Fusion later on
2) Wait and continue saving for the Grand (planning on getting when the sub kit comes out)
3) Get another RM2 now and then get the Grand (might be after the sub kit)

Everything varies... but the big thing is I am on my nice little monthly budget (been saving it up...) so gotta figure what the best option is going to be...

and I have heard so many good things about the Cyclone

I also have both versions of the cyclone. I haven't modified the juice hole on any of them and they work so well just like they are that I haven't had the motivation to lower the juice hole. In fact, with the standard cyclone, I find that I can take twice as many pulls (~7 lung hits) between squonks. I'm starting to appreciate that more than a good drain. I think the juice clouds up a little faster but other than that they work awesome. Of course the AFC setup with dual coils is pretty thirsty - no way I'm lowering the juice hole on that one.

I also noticed the juice hole is a bit lower on the parts I received from the London source. Not just off the base as some would prefer but not far off. There could also be some variance in juice hole height from one atty to the next.

As for drilling air holes in stainless I have found a tapered diamond Dremel bit works awesome. Stainless is hard stuff but I've drilled 7 or 8 caps with one bit and it just keeps going. Its also great for cleaning up the burrs on the inside of the cap after drilling. Also because its tapered, you can incrementally increase the hole size until you find your sweet spot. When I first started experimenting with air hole sizes I ended up punching through at 3/32nds (max taper diameter) and switching to lung hits.

PS, I would go with the stinger or a standard drip tip. The fusion will increase the chamber size and that will affect flavor. I have both and I found I like the wide open shorty style drip tips on my cyclones.

Agreed, I have the fusion top and it looks good but I use a regular 510 drip tip instead.

In the Divo thread we've been investigating the general feeling that smaller chambers enhance flavors. I'm currently testing the Divo against a regular cyclone with identical drip tips and the Divo is slightly sweeter with unflavored nic. I would expect the fusion tip vs regular to be the same with the regular tip bring out a little more flavor.

I just compared my cyclone with a fusion drip and then my cyclone with a few of my other drips tips.

for me, the fusion drip tip produces more flavor, actually a lot more flavor.

I got my b/f cyclone and the fusion drip tip for $87.00 so for $7.00's more I'd go that route.

Just checked indyvapes and for the bf cyclone and the fusion it was going to be about 100 with tax and shipping

Where'd you get yours?

Xpuppy... i really appreciate this comment, how does a single coil on the cyclone compare to the rm2 in your opinion?

I will say this has pushed me to if i go with options 1 getting the 80 and possibly ordering just the fusion dt later...

I'd give a very slight preference to the standard BF cyclone for single coil setups vs the RM2. The AFC with dual coils really rocks though - I can't put it down - not as good for single but like Filthy said, work is being done to reduce the chamber. Once that happens I'll take the adjustable air flow.

The RM2 is a better value price wise and its a great vape.

The difference in flavor with the fusion drip tip is pretty subtle. It's a really nice looking fit on the standard cyclone.
