There is a highest level campaign in Cyprus against the eliquid. they publish data like 18% of nicotine, etc, warn about passsive smoking, indicate that vaping be more dangerous than smoking, etc. its incredible. This is happening now. The Ministry of Health has been asked to come up with a "Law" within 2 weeks!! They are quoting the FDA, the outdated opinion!!

Since I am a lawyer, I am looking forward to this and will have a go at them,....

I do have a fair amount of information, studies, etc. but would seek other cypriots, or vapers who live here to take up this challenge.

Falke, just wanted to mention that the 18% figure I saw in a news story is a gross misunderstanding on the part of the person who made that statement. They probably saw 18 mg and thought that represented percent. Actually 18 mg / g is 1.8% becuase there are 1,000 mg in a gram, not 100.

He, thanks all for your support and ideas. I have - in the meantime - won a first little battle with the authorities there. Customs wanted to seize a shipment, instructed by the government - and I had them release it within hours. I happen to be a lawyer, so that was - challenging - in a way, but then not really. Should this happen to anyone else in CY, they dont have (yet) a legal basis to seize liquid, unless the HS (harmonised customs) code is wrong. ANd there isnt one for eliquid!! so, you need to use the ones for PG, VG, aroma and nictoine (I did that). Anyone needs those, happy to pass them on.
