D Mods Elite Copper Edition

Was in the market the other day for a new 18650 tube mod to chase some clouds with, and was gonna try and find some less expensive copper or brass clone with low voltage drop...and the guys @ Amazing Vapor in Killeen, TX introduced me to the D mod...its a locally Central Texas made solid copper mod with a hybrid top cap allowing the positive post on your atty to make direct contact with the battery. This thing hits like a damn freight train and has a voltage drop of only .08vdc via my fluke multi-meter. The threads are super smooth, top cap is blended with the tube so well you can hardly see the seem, switch is easy to manipulate and positively disengages after fire, and the flush mount switch will sit on your desk without firing by accident. Overall machining...I would rate as about 6 outta 10...there were some very, very light machine marks on the tube, but they polished out very nice, and due to the copper its made out of, of course there was a slight patina from sitting on the shelf etc. but it came off quickly with a dab of cleaner. Camera is down for the moment, but will have some pics up in the next week or so.

I've had it about a week now and very happy with my purchase. Got mine for bout $150 @ the above B&M, and the builders facebook is https://www.facebook.com/pages/D-Mods/694737227281052. For the price point, the performance, and overall quality of the mod...its a steal @ this price. Before yall go out and spend yalls money on a few clones from china that dont perform or last, made3 outta God knows what kinda metal (lol) @ least check these guys out...really satisfied customer and will be buying another in the near future!

(on a side note, I bought this mod with my own money, and am in no way affiliated with the builders of these mods. I'm doing this review just to let yall know about this jewel I've found and highly recommend. Hope this helps ya fellow vaper-holics out!) :D

Enjoy it in good health!

I personally just can't see how a copper tube with 6 outta 10 machining and finish can sell for $150. You can. Enjoy it.

I am only giving it a 6 outta 10 because theres not anything out there that will ever get a 10 as theres nothing perfect, for example...the dark horse rda i just got in, I would rate @ about an 8 due to a couple very small barely visible scratches. it came perfectly clean, smells like soap clean lol, but wont get a 9 cause of the very slight imperfections...almost tho. But i can be kinda picky sometimes when i rate or scale things...guess too many years playing with coins lol. Check er out tho...gonna have pics up Sunday or Monday.

You must have incredibly high standards or you've not had a lot of higher quality mods in your hands, I was a machinist for a few years and I still work with precision machined parts on a daily basis and I've got to say I have inspected mods that I would rate a 10/10 on machine work and finishing right out of the box.

Food for thought, it's pretty pointless to grade something on a scale that goes from 1-10 if 10 is not an achievable grade.
