Howdy. I've often calculated what I spend on smoking every day as a way to motivate me quitting. A pack cost about 7.19 here. I smoke a pack a day. My total smoking bill came to about 219 dollars a month and over 2550 dollars a year. Wow lots of money. What I vape compared to that is about 1600 dollars less a year, maybe I can stop bugging my boss for a raise now... Nah.

You should be able to do well in your new hobby.

The word "hobby" is the problem! For me, at least...! What I spend on the stuff I really need is far, far less than what I used to spend on smoking. As with most hobbies, just keep an eye on what you're spending on shiny new toys - it can quickly spiral out of control!

That was my downfall the first time I vaped. I had so many flavors, so mant cartos, tank systems, battery styles, I just got overwhelmed. When I moved it was such a hassle to keep up with I went back to analogs. But now I'm simplifying I have what I like, and I'm sticking with that. Have not looked back not even when out with my friends drinking, and boy do I drink with them heh.

Pall Mall blues here in The Haute bought by the carton at three packs a day comes to about $13.50/day. Now, considering how bug....... I've been going with buying vaping gear, I'd have been better off financially sticking to analogs. However, this is not only infinitely healthier but also a lot more fun. At some point I might decide that I'm good for a while and relax on spending a bit.

I was at $8.63 a day. 1.5 PAD at $5.75 a pack. I've broke even so far vaping, but it will simmer down once I settle in and find what I like. I'm happy with MBV juices and an eGo, so I don't see myself buying a Provari or anything... I've actually tried a couple AIV juices and didn't care for them at all. AIV was the first time I dumped a full clearo down the drain. Maybe I just got a bad bottle or something though.

This is not very encouraging! I can barely afford my cigs! I was hoping a big upfront cost and then it would be less than smoking! I just spent $100 on a kit and juice, I hope I can get by on only having to purchase Juice and new heads for the Evod for at least a month!

Don't let our spending discourage you Migranny :) If you've got a good kit with at least two batteries and charger and several juice delivery items you should be fine with just purchasing juice and some new heads for your Evod for a month :)

If you're happy with your batteries and plan to stay with it for a while then as soon as you can order a 3rd battery and a second charger as a safety net just in case something unexpected goes wrong :)

The money you spend is well worth it (most of the time). Besides consumables you actually have some besides ashes in the trash can.

I pay cash for everything. I put the $5 I would spend a day in a pile and when I have enough for what I want I buy it. The initial $21 was on a credit card but since then I haven't spend a dime more than I would smoking and soon I will have the parts and pieces I need. Then it is on to the wants. Lol 4 days smoke free.

The hardest part for me was making my purchases all at once. I was one of those "stop at the store everyday to buy a pack smokers" It didn't seem like I was spending much that way. Now I make a monthly purchase of my juice and cartos and such and its about 70 dollars but I am set for the month.

Much cheaper then then the 200 dollars a month I was spending and I feel a heckuva lot better too!
