after spending the last couple of days on this forum, reading what everyone had to say, i was trying to determine if vaping really was cheaper than analog smoking.

from some estimates that i've seen, 1 ml of liquid is roughly 10 cigarettes.

so, a 25$ (shipping included) 30ml bottle is 300 cigarettes or 15 packs. in ohio, 15 packs of cigarettes is about 75$. i smoke roughly a pack (give or take...mostly give) a day...so 150$ a month. this would be 50$ for liquid alone.

100 dollar savings
-2$ a month for cartridges
-10$ a month for atomizers
-we'll estimate 10 dollars in shipping

so...in the end, 78 dollars in savings per month.

x12....936 dollars per year.

so aside from the health benefits, it looks like i'll be saving 936 dollars a year from vaping. I can't wait till my e-cig comes :D

of course, this is ignoring the initial price, and replacing batteries if neccessary...but meh. atleast i won't have to carry a lighter around with me any more.

i'm just glad i found out about e-cigs now more than ever. tobacco is getting really really expensive =.=

i've been smoking full strength camels since i was 14, so i kind of want something strong. i got a 30mL bottle of camel imitator liquid at a 18mg strength, so i'm using this as a tester.

ecig should be here on tuesday or wednesday (recently found out me and retailer are in the same state) but i don't know about the liquid. i ordered it from truevapor, but i don't know where they are locator, nor how long it will take to get here. i'll definately come back to tell of my experience with it though

I think in the long run it's definitely cheaper, but NOT at first! You want to try everything, you need extra parts, and then we all have the scare of it being taken from us so some people are hoarding even, so it's frustrating!!

see, i don't even think it's a "long run" thing though. most of the time, initial investments might take a few months to kick in, but i mean, i paid 80 dollars for my model and a 30-ml bottle of liquid. that's for 2 weeks worth of smoking, and 80 dollars is just about what 2 weeks worth of smoking analogs would have cost me anyway.

i think anyone who's remotely curious about it should give it a try, 2 weeks isn't that long of a time. it could save your life and your wallet.

i think for me it will end up even out on the long run or i might be losing like a hundred or so dollars. I bought a lot of liquid and buying different e-cigs plus spare parts costs a pretty penny.

BUT you cannot put a price on your health....medical bills WILL cost in the thousands to keep you alive if you do not quit analogs and then after wasting so much money to keep yourself alive, you will die a painful death of course. Its not my intention to scare anyone but smokers just die a painful death.
