Cost of a pack of smokes in your area?

I don't know what you guys are complaining about. In Australia it cost about $17 AUS for a pack of 25. So glad I found E-cigs LOL!!!

The convenience stores around here rotate the name brands for around $3.25 a pack. A carton after tax is $36. Still expensive, but better than $45 and $50. You have to change brands periodically to stay in the low range. My wife still smokes. I can't seem to get her to switch to vaping, although she pulls out her 510 from time to time. She says my eGo/Boge cartos are harsh. To me they are smooth. I'm thinking of getting her a KR808.

A couple of years ago I was paying about $5.75 for a pack of Camel wides in New Hampshire. Smoked about 3 pks a day. That's $17.25 a day, wow! Then a started stuffing my own cigs which came to about $1/pk or about $3/day. Now I vape about 3ml/day or about $1.50/day for eliquid.

Here in New Jersey they were about $7.50 a pack in 2010...not sure now..
My DIY juice runs about $.30 to $.50 a day, big change for a 1 1/2 pad smoker.

9,70 euro for 20 Marlboro red, thats 12.77 US dollars.
I had to check the price, their was a time I would know that and the price of several other brands.

Cheap ones are running 10.10 for a 25 pack name brands are about 12 plus also a 25 pack.

Last Jan 2011 I was buying a carton of Marlb. lights for about $40.00 carton (10 pk 20 per pk) so let me see that $.20 per cig here in SW Florida. Just out of curiosity I just called the nearest Walgreens and they are now $5.98 per pack so at tht price they are $.30 per stinkie now. Sure am glad I am not a slave to them anymore!

About $5.25 in Ohio for Marlboro Golds or whatever they call them now. It is one of the reasons that I quit and switched to vaping... that is a lot of money when you smoke more than a pack a day as I did. But, looking around this thread, I see where other states are much more expensive.

That's so true. I've broken even after 2 months, BUT I have at least six months of juice and equipment stockpiled. Healthier with the added bonus of extra funds makes me a happy Canadian.

where I live in the US a cheap pack is 2.89 but some are 5.00 a pack, with 20 cigs in them..e cigs have helped me save a lot of money.

I'm in Connecticut, home to the 3rd highest cigarette tax in the country ($3.40/pack as of 1/1/12), and the last time I bought a pack (over six months ago) it was well over 8 bucks. Can't tell you exactly because i was so addicted I didn't even really care what they cost. Thank god for vaping; one by one, I'm getting all of my friends off of the stinkies, and I hoonestly think the tobacco companies are going to be hurting soon. I feel so bad for them - NOT!

Trivia time: #1 highest tax in the country: NY, at $4.35/pack. #2, Rhode Island, $3.46.

Lowest: Missouri, 17 cents; next lowest = Virginia, 30 cents.
