I have had the istick 50w since release and it is now showing some problems as shutting off randomly. So since I like istick form I am going to buy the istick 100w tc. I am stuck between couple batteries to buy as I never had a external battery device. I am thinking of either Sony vtc4 or vtc5 otherwise I was thinking lg hg2 if anything. I have a subtank mini and I vape at 27 watts but I would like to try tc as I would probably get the Uwell crown v2 tank. What batteries would you guys recommend on getting? Any help would be appriciated!

If the new tank i get and it says 40-80 watts will the lg hg2 be sufficient?

If you plug the numbers into steam-engine, at 100 watts on a regulated device with two batteries allowing for 90% efficiency the draw per battery is 13 amps at 4.2 volts and 17 amps when discharged at 3.2 volts. So using a battery with a 20 amp CDR (like the LG or the Samsung) is a good fit especially when that cell has a 3000 mAh capacity.

If you have a perverse desire to see the maths to calculate this

Also be sure to keep the battery pair "married" - keep them paired together so that they age evenly. With multiple cells, you don't want one cell with decreased capacity because it can stress the other batteries as well as overheating. Even though the 100TC can be used with a single battery (less power), make sure it is a different battery and not one of the married pair. A reliable 2-bay charger should also be on your shopping list. Also, I like the HG2 batteries.
