If your mod can fire above .1Ω you CAN use a NI200 coil. I am using dual claptons on my DNA40, but have kanthal under the Ni200 so it doesnt read the temp right. I have it set at 40 watts and I'm vaping just fine.

That said, you are using a tank. I don't use tanks with premade coils so I can't confirm or deny whether or not it would work. without burning the cotton.

I have 2 mods currently. One of which is the Eleaf iStick 50W and the other a Smok x65 mPro. Also, I think I'd stick with the pre-built coils !

Hey all,

I'm still pretty new to vaping. I've been using a Kanger subtank mini and now I'm wondering whether or not I should buy

a 0.15 Nickel OCC Coil Head would be suitable for say,

an eleaf istick 50w or a smok xpro m65.

Could you guys help me out before

Thanks !
Unless you're doing a res/non res build, the nickel wire isnt going to help you read temps unless you get a mod thats built to read them

Correct. Either a DNA40 or the YiHi SX350J (SX Mini M Class) or the YiHi SX330 v4S (IPV 4). The IPV 4 will be the cheapest mod you can find with temperature control, selling for around $90-$100.

Just watched a review on the Heatvape Invader Mini. It can be purchased for around $70.00. Uses a DNA 40 "type" chipset.

The smok xpro m80 plus temp control has issues. I would say go for the hb dna 40. Evolve chips are solid aside from the screen glitches. If you can afford a vaporshark rdna 40 I'd say go for that cause the new ones have the updated chips. I have the vs rdna 40 and no glitches even after a whole month.
Thanks for the heads up ! I hope it isnt going to be a problem like the Smok m65

A kanger OCC nickel coil at .15 ohms? Do either of your mods fire down to .15? If you want temp control, I'd recommend the SX Mini M Class mod, it has the yihi sx350j chip inside, which can fire down to .08 ohms according to yihi and is firmware updatable. Plus, it is one fine looking mod!
