Damaged throat, explain later

Wish I lived closer . . . I'd loan you my i-Inhale to see if you even liked it. It's a nice piece of equipment, but it does take some getting used to. I primarily got it as my ultimate insurance when I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off, worrying that the U.S. government was going to shut down e-cigs, and I'd run out of atomizers, and I'd be cold and hungry out on the streets. Well, I guess I'm getting a bit overly dramatic, but you get the idea.

Anyway, while I don't really like it as my main vape, I have to say that I really do enjoy it. I have to basically use very low nicotine in it because it's got a strong hit with the liquids. I've vaped some of the molasses, and it's okay but no real hit unless I add a wee bit of e-liquid to it. I haven't tried it with tobacco because the last thing I want is to get back on that train again, even if it's in the caboose.

Anyway, I'd hate to see you spend a pile of money on it only to find that you really don't like it. Is there anyone nearby who has one and would let you try it?

That is very kind and sweet of you Julie but i will get one no matter what possession of mine that i have to sell in order to buy an i-inhaler ...it looks like the VG in the liquid was sticking to my vocal cords and throat and did not help the throat infection that i have, that's what the tests my doctor did has concluded, but we can't be sure if it was the VG that caused my condition in the first place ....i am selling my liquids and buying just PG mixed liquids and see if that helps, But i have a very nasty throat infection and i am just resting up trying to recover.

I will buy an i-inhale when i am able to, if i can avoid contracting this throat infection then it's worth exploring all avenues.

Julie.....You are a kind soul!...My insurance policy is my Nicotrol Inhaler which I am still holding on to...Just in case!! The darn thing helped me get off analogs before I discovered e-cigs. I hope I wont have to use it again..but I do have it put away for safe-keeping. I wish our "Prince" would ask his doctor for a script before going back to analogs..as I still see this as a much healthier alternative...and one that actually works!The Wiz!

I will try all alternatives Wiz, i have no desire to go back to smoking full time......but i really have to be careful with these e-liquids because my throat obviously has issues with some of the ingrediances within them.

Wiz that is a good idea for the doc to prescribe that inhaler thing. Have you thought of that Ricky? It might help.

Don't cry sweetie. That makes your throat tighten even more. Just hang in there till you get the full diagnosis and then deal with it one day at a time. Could be you just need to get off everything for a while and let your throat heal. I know it will be tough, but if it helps you breathe better, you just might have to do it. Keep us posted.

I'm not crying honey, i just feel like it Lol ...I am relaxing and taking my meds hoping my infection dissipates and completely clears up as soon as humanly possible.

I am going to buy some PG liquids and the i-inhaler when i can and see if thats the way to go, gotta keep trying until i find my non analog nirvana.

ECF has been doing some very goofy stuff lately - something about the pages caching instead of refreshing???

Wow, thats scarey stuff..did you only use VG or did you mix it with other things? What brand did you use? Did you use VG for the whole 2 yrs?

I just swtiched to glycerin a couple of weeks ago..the straight VG I was using was to waxy and drying my mouth out.. The Wiltons glycerin doesn't seem to have the same effect..
I hope you get better soon!

glycerin=propylene glycol? isn't glycerine VG? ...does propylene glycol dry your throat as well? and will it even give enough vapor ...see thats the problem because vegatable glycerine emits the marjority of the vapour, i am not to sure about propylene glycol on it's own.

i am just hoping the i-inhaler allows me to continue vaping because i don't want to analog smoke full time again. but at this rate it doesn't look like i am going to sell any! of my e-cigarette stuff in the ECF classifieds. as i said i am alittle suprized nobody will buy them.

Yes, Wiltons Glycerine is considered VG I guess..They told me it is "plant derived" and kosher....but for some reason it is just different than the bottle of all natural VG I bought..

What brand were you using?

Another option for you might be PEG from nuvape..it produces decent vapor but it made my throat sore for about 5 days...

I was using that for a couple of months and the only reason I switched to glycerine was so I didn't have to wait for orders etc and just make my own..

Oh- I also noticed you were mixing with 36mg red bull...Was the red bull PG based? I've read many threads of sore throats from PG but none from VG really.. I didn't know there was a VG red bull...

So was it a combo of PG, VG and nicotine you were using? Or just all VG and nicotine?

It also seems to me that the sore throat might be from the nicotine ?

When I was using nicotine and some of the juice got on my lip , it would BURN! I would imagine it would do the same thing to your lining of your esophagus..

I hardly ever used the double barrel 801 Julie, i think the VG in the redbull didn't help but i had a throat infection. a nasty one at that, the VG only served to escalate the problem ...I am not going to risk it happening again so i am just going to buy the i-inhaler and see how that goes ..i can only keep trying until i find a device that services my needs. now all i need to do is sell my e-cigarettes an i can get this i-inhaler, sadly and strangely enough nobody is buying :l hmmm

I might try some other E-cig forums as well, problem is i don't no of any other e-cig forums Lol ..i'll keep searching though

The liquids were PG and VG based MissVapor ...And i have been vaping on PG & VG for 2 years now ..maybe my throat finally had enough, I'm not really sure but what i do no is that i can't risk it happening again so i need to find another alternative.

Exactly! how many emerald citys are there now? ...we are all over the place, branches extend far and wide ....i have been soooo busy with being sick and trying to get some work done in this state that i am in that i sometimes forget to take a breathe heh.

I am feeling some what better now thanks Vicks my dear ...I have 2 more Mods to sell then i can buy the i-inhaler and some PG liquids ...i am not giving up on vaping completely.
