I'm lagging behind many here who managed to quit with those first generation devices. Kudos to you all. You must have had great determination; they didn't do it for me.

Long story short, now (just in the last month, thanks to the new regs :glare:), I have some very nice rebuildable tanks to replace my nautilus mini. All I can say is Wowser!

I'm doing fine with rebuilding the coils, but I think I'll have to practice on the wicking issues. Otherwise, all is WELL!

Go, Vapers!

Congratulations! Yep, I didn't do so well with the first generations stuff either but it was promising and I eventually tried later with better gear and more information.

You do know you need to buy something shinny for you vaperversary, right?

Oh, yeah, what a difference a month makes :) ! Better stuff now, was in a rut before and didn't know I needed to get out! I never had shinyitis, and I didn't know what I was missing with rebuildable tanks. Now I don't have to buy Nauti mini coils any more.

Independence Day! Have a save and happy 4th everyone!

And oh man, determination is something to call it. Got there though. With 18 mg juice and my vape glued to my hand 24/7. Your Nautilus doesn't even compare to some of the first, second, and third generation garbage. We had a saying back in the day....everything leaks. You know what a cartomizer is? Imagine poking a couple holes in one, sticking it in a tube of glass, and calling that a tank, and being told it's the best product on the market >_> LOL

But yeah we got some great stuff now it's kind of mind blowing to me. Such a fantastic time to be a vaper, well, at least until August anyway....I do sometimes feel a little nostalgic for the old garbage though. Ah yes, when a 3 ohm topper at 6 volts was impressive, and VW wasn't a thing. Do kinda miss driving around with a cig-a-like hanging out of my mouth though.

Congrats dude! You should pick up some spares of everything (rebuildables and mods) before the regulations come down. Maybe look into DIY juice and stock up on nicotine base. It sounds complicated, but it's really not. If you can make a smoothie, you can make vape juice.

Been making eliquid for 2 1/2 years now, just didn't venture out much with equipment until now. Not a huge amount of MTL tanks available, but I'm getting there.

Congratulations! To you and us all!! I did somehow make it my first try with the very very early gen devices. Still have a bin of most those for nostalgia, but my saving motivation was not having my first son ever knowing that i smoked. I quit Sept 2011 and have not smoked a cigarette since that Dec just to "see" what it would be like after a couple of months. It was terrible and even the crappy devices of the time were better to me:)!!! I love posts like these, everyone's journey is different yet very similar!

Congratulations again and thanks for sharing!!

Cheers

I remember those days all too well. Thanks for the blast down memory lane.... I am sitting here LOL, dog looking at me crazy :). I still have all my mech mods and Kayfuns... everything else is pretty much lost in a bin somewhere. We've come a LONG way. I love your description of the Carto though... too funny and sooo true!
