I wanted to see what others thought about the "Dark Truth Behind E-Cigarettes" infographic but nothing showed up in the search. Please forgive me if someone else already posted it. I personally loved it and converted into a publisher file so that I could use it like a scroll. =)

I'm thinking about making it into a video to post on Youtube or a power point slide.

I think it is very well done. I think there should be a downloadable version of this i can have loaded up on my phone, a youtube link i can favorite would be nice, or even some format i can print off in pamphlet form. I have had a lot of people ask me about my e cigs, PVs an APVs many times, and it usually ends in a 15+ min conversation. I dont mind talking to people about it, and the advantages of making the switch, but sometimes its an older man/woman asking for their significant other who isnt there. If i would have a printout handy i could just give them that. I know there are a number of people whom I have turned onto PVs and gotten off cigs, and I have tried to educate people to the best of my knowledge when they have questions, but a pamphlet would be nice.

I am a bit, well, not liking it. It starts out with the words, "Dark truth" I dont want any dark secrets. My vaping is not a dark truth what so ever. Thats getting off on the wrong foot. First thing, start off with the good things....then debunk. How about the 'real truth'

Good point. How about the "RAW Truth" to make it pop. I think the idea was to grab attention first then help the reader understand the truth.

While I like the potato with nic content reference, I was a bit put off that it has "micrograms" spelled out and it's right above the cigarette nic content graphic that has milligrams abbreviated as "mg". I'm afraid it might appear deceptive to those that know already, or those that find out that "mg" are considerably larger than "micrograms". Maybe consider using µg or mcg instead of spelling out "microgram"? Having said that, I still like the mention of foods that contain nicotine, and would also like to see green tomatos and eggplant included somehow. Especially since I believe eggplant has more nic per gram (and it's my wife's fav :p}.

The only other thing I'd like to see is the references at the bottom be clear enough to read and follow, should someone desire.

Other than those few things and a bit more US relevant replacements/quotes, I might even be willing to distribute copies down the street, in front of the FDA's new complex here (with a local permit, of course). :D

I think its well done, well illustrated and it seems well sourced to. Putting that aside, I think that it looks like what it is: propaganda, which is fine, but I don't think that a lot of non vapers will take it seriously. But if it gets a few people interested in doing their own research, I'm all for it.

For the most part I thought it was pretty good. I liked that sources were listed at the end. I used photoshop to crop it and then PDF it. Ended up being 8 pages. Once it was in PDFs I printed off a bunch of copies for me and SO to hand out to the people who keep arguing e-cigs are worse than cigarettes. I think the title is great for getting people against to start reading, especially cause the first page of my printed copies just show that. My only criticism besides the potato is there's nothing crediting the person who put it together.

I have to agree with you in the title. Although its a quality piece, in this sound bite day and age all the anti e-cig people need to see is "Dark Truth" and their mind is made up.

I also agree, needs to be a sticky on all forums on this site. A printable version is a good idea. Pamphlets? Smart idea, just hand them out or keep one handy for the people that believe the propagander that e-cigs are worse than analogs.
