Darkening DIY? Am I doijng something wrong?

I have been making my own juice for almost 2 years... I generally use 36mg/ml VG base and mix it with 50% USP glycerin (to get to 16-18 mg/ml after adding flavoring) I buy from the local grocery. When I first make my mix with lorann cheesecake (around 10%) my mix is almost clear, just a little amber color to it. Within a couple of weeks, it's a very dark brown. Is that normal? It tastes the same, just a lot darker. Thanks!

Depending on the flavoring used you get some nice shades that often resemble the natural color of the fruit, flower, etc. that the flavoring is derived from or mimicking. I have had apple ejuice turn a nice shade of green and peach turn a nice pale peach color, etc. Oxidation is normal and can help improve the flavor also.
