I recently stumbled across this vendor's website. Since I share his love of "vaping, art, monsters, horror, sci-fi, and fantasy", I had to order some juice.

Ordered 10 mL of 4 different juices and thought I'd share my thoughts. All are 70/30 18mg. Customer service was excellent and I received them within 3 days. I've had them 3 days and they've all spent a couple of hours in an ultrasonic cleaner (no heat).

It's obvious that they all need to steep longer and I'll come back and revise these reviews in a couple of weeks. I should also mention that I'm a fan of sweet, complex flavors and generally don't like fruits.

1) Zombie Elixir - Supposedly a bubbly fruit punch. My least favorite of the bunch. Strong throat hit, almost like peppermint (but without the peppermint flavor). I didn't really get any 'fruit' flavor. A bit 'thin' tasting to me, though this might change.

2) Jekyll and Hyde - Since I had the cd of the musical 'Jekyll and Hyde' playing at the time, I had to order this one. (Great musical, btw.) Described as sweet tea and lemonade with a hint of rum. This one is interesting and I'm not sure how to describe it. I suspect it's going to mature into something I either really hate or really love. I spent probably the most time with this one trying to identify the flavor. If I had to say something, I'd say 'cut wet grass'. I know this doesn't sound appetizing but I found it oddly appealing somehow. Very strange.

3) Vampire's Kiss - Ordered this one simply because I'm a vampire fan. Described as strawberries, cream and champagne. I can tell already that I'm going to like this one which surprises me since I haven't liked any strawberry I've tried so far. This tastes 'real' as opposed to candied or artificial. I'm finishing this clearo instead of pouring it back because it's good (but not great) as is.

4) The Red Ape - described as a blend of banana, butterscotch, caramel, and bavarian cream. This one is going to be an ADV. A bit weak as of yet but delicious. Imagine a perfectly ripe banana that you've sprinkled with brown sugar and sauteed in a bit of butter. Ummm, this is good, I can just imagine what it's going to be like in a couple of weeks.

Has anyone else tried any of these? I'd be interested in your opinions. I'm going to go ahead and order more 'Vampire's Kiss' and 'Red Ape' in larger bottles and will probably try a couple of others.

Thanks for the reviews. I have never heard of this vendor, but I do love Horror movies. Not certain if that'll make me want to order from them though :)

It's always great to discover new and up and coming vendors. Thank you again.

Going by your icon, you share the same tastes. :)

Seriously, 'Red Ape' and 'Vampire's Kiss' are both even better today. They'll be gone by this evening.

Update on 'Jekyll and Hyde'...

After steeping five days, this flavor has totally changed. The 'cut wet grass' impression I had originally is totally gone. I've never tried any other 'tea' or 'lemon' flavors so I really have nothing to compare this with but I really like it. In fact, it's moved up to its own dedicated clearo.

As I said I would, I ordered larger bottles of 'Vampire's Kiss' and 'Red Ape' but I'm not allowing myself to try them for at least a week. Also ordered a smaller bottle of 'Shai Hulud' which is described as 'sweet pipe tobacco flavoring with blackberry, caramel and hazelnut'. It smells so good I'm afraid to try it for fear of being disappointed.

Well, I said I'd come back and review this further.

'Red Ape' - as good as I hoped it would be. Absolutely delicious, my all-time favorite fruit juice.

'Vampire's Kiss' - Oddly enough, though I would say I like the flavor of 'Red Ape' better, I find myself reaching for this one more often. I'd prefer a slightly stronger flavor but I keep coming back to it. Very strange.

Both juices now have their own dedicated setups.

Final Update (for now :) )

Ok, I admit it - I've turned into a DDV fangirl. (No, they're not paying me, nor have I received anything for free from them in case you're wondering. :) )

Before leaving this review, I decided to give 'Zombie Elixer' and 'Jekyll and Hyde' one final try and I'm glad I did. Sometime in the past week, they've gone from 'ok'/'pretty good' to 'wonderful'. But what bugs me is that I can't explain why. All I know is that I've been ignoring all my other juices for the past two days. I have these five juices (the above four plus 'Shai Hulud') lined up on my desk and I just go from one to the other.

Needless to say, I've ordered (or already received) larger bottles of all five flavors plus a couple more smaller sizes to try. Heck, at this rate I can't lose.

Darkest Day Vapors was one of the first people I ordered from after Pink Spot, when I first started vaping. I love their juice. I haven't dripped it yet because I just started getting into dripping but mine has tasted great out of anything I put it in, cartos, clearos, iclears, protank. I love it for that, as well.
