How common is it for e-juice vendors to use manufacture dates and lot numbers on their bottles?

I really like it when vendors do this. It gives me more confidence in the product, and I feel it shows the vendor has more accountability.

The bottles I've mail ordered have this information but my locally bought juices don't. So for those I write the purchase date on the bottle label but I often wonder just how long that bottle of juice was sitting around on the store shelf.

most large volume operations are automated or semi automated.
its a way to track product for many reasons.
smaller operations tend to mix it as you need it.
they may have a few premixed bases with specific
PG/VG ratios and add flavoring and nic as needed.
that makes it harder to use batch numbers.
a batch number would indicate the flavor, nic level, percentage
of PG/VG,date made and, total quantity made in that
particular production run. for a different batch number
start the process all over again.
