The 650mah auto DAV-
Just like the 1100mah version, the voltages are now 3.2-4.8v with 3.7v and 4.2v also being marked. Just as with the 1100mah version, the draw is very much like that of a king diamond/vapor titan manual. There's something else that stuck out on this model, which we'll get into as the test goes on, that also showed great improvement. The only complain was the cut off time. Measured it at 6.1 seconds.
Off load voltages-
3.2v- 3.21v
3.7v- 3.73v
4.2v- 4.24v
4.8v- 4.81v
All within range off load. As stated earlier will be using the 1.5ohm dc cartos for on load testing this round. On load at start-
3.2- 3.21v
3.7- 3.73v
4.2- 3.91v
4.8- 3.91v
The amp limit on this pv at full charge was 2.7a, exactly the same as that of it's manual counterpart. Here are the numbers after 1 hour of the normal heavy vaping-
3.2- 3.21v
3.7- 3.71v
4.2- 3.85v
4.8- 3.85v
Here was the interesting part, not much voltage drop at all after the first hour. Because of what I thought was an abnormal result, recharged the battery and ran it again. Got very similar results (4.2 and 4.8v being 3.84v). Checked the ohms on the carto, was still 1.5ohms, and ran the re-ran the test again. Here are the results on the 3rd restart after 1 hour (on load voltages at start never varied)-
3.2- 3.21v
3.7- 3.72v
4.2- 3.85v
4.8- 3.85v
In other words there wasn't an error. Looks like they've further refined the circuitry in the auto DAV. Hour 2 would go to further this theory-
3.2- 3.21v
3.7- 3.70v
4.2- 3.81v
4.8- 3.81v
Didn't make it to hour 3 on this test, at 19:41 into it noticed a distinct drop in vapor production. Ran one last test, battery ended up flashing on me during the 4.8v test-
3.2- 3.20v
3.7- 3.31v
4.2- 3.33v
4.8- .......
After a recharge ran the test again under the same exact conditions, and here were the results-
Hour 1-
3.2- 3.21v
3.7- 3.72v
4.2- 3.84v
4.8- 3.84v
Hour 2-
3.2- 3.22v
3.7- 3.71v
4.2- 3.81v
4.8- 3.81v
19 minutes 33 seconds later-
3.2- 3.20v
3.7- 3.25v
4.2- 3.31v
4.8- 3.31v
In other words what this shows is the latest batch of auto DAV hold their voltage longer than the manuals at the cost of battery life. Makes for a much more consistent vape overall.
