My Apollo TGo arrived in the mail, so I dashed down to the mall and grabbed some juice. I started vaping around 2:pM yesterday, and didn't crave a cigarette for the rest of the day; I was perfectly content with vaping. As a matter of fact, I enjoyed vaping more than smoking - weird.

I haven't sworn off of smoking; I'm kind of doing an inquiry at this point, because if I "serious up" about it, I'm afraid I'll get nervous, which I've always dealt with by smoking. So far, vaping seems to be scratching the itch, because normally if I had gone without a cigarette for this long, I'd be screaming and throwing things.

I think I'll do a hybrid sort of thing until I'm ready to make the jump. I smoked with my husband over coffee this morning, because he seems to be having a negative reaction to seeing me vaping, but overall I'm feeling very positive about it!

When I got my ecig I still had about 15 cigs on me, I used the ecig as much as I could and only smoked a real cig after eating, and such, those real strong craving times. By the time I got to the last one I barely wanted it as they tasted so much worse than my ecig. I was pretty ready to quit but once you start on the ecig, you start noticing the stink and taste of real cigs a lot more... definitely helped me kick the habit!

It's funny - I mean, I can have a regular cigarette, which, after 30+ years, is pretty unremarkable, or I can have hit of Cinnamon Danish, which is lovely. I never thought I'd enjoy not smoking. Like I said, I smoked over coffee this morning, because da hubster's uncomfortable with seeing me vape (I guess I look super goofy?), but while he was inside refilling his coffee, I snuck in a few vape hits, and I thought the vape complemented the coffee better. I was craving my ecig while I was smoking, and I have no idea what to make of that.

I've always strongly believed our journey should be stress free and enjoyable and, like many others here, one day you'll wake up and forget to have that first smoke.

Before I discovered vaping if anyone ever suggested me quitting analogs I'd get really fearful prolly cuz I had tried some many different ways so many different times. Just enjoy all the wonderful flavors and if you ever need support we'll all be here for you :vapor:

Aww, ask your hubby if he'd rather you look "goofy", or stink and be all wrinkled in 10 years w/ possible other various health problems! haha... he shouldn't be weirded out though, make him realize how much money you'll be saving, that seems to work on my fiancee whenever I want to buy new vape stuffs :) He'll get used to it though... and you're right, you can change juices based on time of day, what you're eating and drinking, etc... there's so much more to love about vaping than cigs!!

I am with you. I am still smoking a little too. Vaping is great and it helps cut down on the cigarettes. However, I still want the burn factor of a cigarette. Wish you luck on this journey as well. Happy Vaping.

Thanks! I have to note, I switched to vaping right after I had my shower, and now I'm thinking if I'm going to place restrictions on smoking, I'll switch to vaping-only after I shower to keep my motivation positive (smelling nice). I'd hate to turn something as enjoyable as this into a downer. If I've smoked in the morning, then maybe I won't feel like I'm depriving myself? It worked well yesterday, but I'll have to see what today holds.

He's a good guy, but we've both been pretty militant about smokers' rights, and we've commiserated about what social pariahs smokers have become over the years, so the pro-smoking feelings run deep. I don't think I've been too in-your-face about it, but I'm hoping he'll appreciate that I've found something that I enjoy, rather than I've switched to being anti-smoking.

You will now get a massive surge to try every vaping flavor & play with VG / PG mixes to see what you like, you WILL settle after you find the one that hits your spot !!!

:D You're so right! I pulled a fist full of juices out of the bargain bin at my local tobacco shop, and so far I've done English Toffee, Caramel Apple Sucker, and the one that's currently ringing my bell is Cinnamon Danish! I had to run out and get them, because my package from MadVapes was delayed by the holiday weekend gap in mail delivery, but when my package arrives, I'll have 11(!) more flavors to choose from. I'm like a kid in a candy shop!

I can understand that, but at the same time he has to be aware of all the various health problems that come with those smoker's rights. I think all of us can understand this as former smokers though... he just doesn't need to feel slighted or defensive that you've found an alternative... maybe he's concerned you're going to push it on him... but I"m sure you know your relationship better than I haha. I just find it intriguing how different people react to e-cigs. My fiancee quit smoking years before I did so she was pretty happy when I made the switch.

Good luck!! don't be too hard on yourself if you "fall off the wagon", nothing says you have to cold hard switch to ecigs, like someone else said, make it a stress free transition the best you can.

Thanks! I don't plan to foist it onto him, so hopefully he'll mellow out after a while. I see it as a positive, and I wish he did, too.

I think he's concerned about the safety of e-cigs, especially since they haven't been studied much, and with the FDA broohahah, he sees it as something that'll get banned pretty soon, so I'll have ultimately wasted money on it.

Who knows? Maybe things will work out. But I appreciate your kind words, I really do. I tend to have a lot of harebrained ideas, so everyone's rolling their eyes at me over vaping. I think ECF is the only place where I can feel normal and people don't look at me like I'm proposing joining a cult or something.
