You can do it! It gets easier everyday after the first. Man I'm going to have to try this Boba's Bounty, I probably won't make it through the weekend without ordering it. Just too many satisfied customers!

I got off the analogs on 18mg juice but chain vaping isn't even the word for how often I was hitting the PV. It was basically one breath without, one breath with vaping for a good two weeks. I also work at home mostly as well so this was easy to do without upsetting coworkers. I still vape a lot at home but I've gotten used to only hitting it once in a while if I'm working out of an engineer's or architect's office. No one really seams to mind but I don't want to start blowing huge clouds until they do.

My Dad also vapes!! He's been at it 9 months and was a huge inspiration when I finally went for it. Actually I bought him his first kit and another one for Christmas. He used to be hard to shop for... not anymore!

By the way we're neighbors! Well... closest vapor I've found so far. Going to send you a friend invite, maybe we could trade some juices in the future, although I'm not sure I can handle your current 36 mg juice. 8-o

Thanks, Topkicker! I did get a low res atomizer but I don't understand how to use it! It is black and looks like a cartomizer (shape of a cigarette filter). Do I just screw this onto the inferno battery and drip juice into it? It is smaller in diameter than the battery so this seems strange to me.

Yes, screw that onto the inferno battery (the shorter one feels more ciggy to me) and drop 3 or 4 drops of juice in there. Volcano sells the INFERNO - Atomizer Cones - NEW VERSION in the same colors as the battery. That goes over the atomizer to give it a streamline complete look and eliminates that "strange look". The short one is for the atomizer and the longer one is for the cartomizers. Just make sure if you buy them to get them in the NEW Verison as they still have the old version on their site. It will state "new version" on the description. You may also want to get another type tip. I love their stainless steel tip, it gives the unit and nice balance and feels good the lips too. I prefer my atomizer when I am trying out different juices at night. Plus if you are new to juices and you get something you are not sure about just drop one drop in to try it out. I have found the atomizer feels the closest to an analog pull and feel, IMHO.

Congratulations on your first (hopefully second!) day of not smoking. Boba's Bounty is a delicious vape!

I'd tried to stop smoking, sometimes more seriously than others, a dozen or so times over the past few yers. Nicotine patches were equally ineffective: I'd have a patch on each arm and a burning cigarette in each hand. Zyban worked once--it was almost magical; I had no desire for a cigarette after a couple of weeks on the drug. I even stopped for almost a year, but I stupidly thought I was "over" my nicotine/cigarette addiction and had a smoke one morning and the head rush, which is why I started smoking in the first place, eventually seduced me back into full blown habitual smoking. Chantix was a complete failure on two occasions: no reduction in desire to light up. I tried Zyban two more times, but didn't notice any reduced desire to smoke. I guess my brain's wiring had adjusted to Zyban's clever trick. I had a small success over Christmas holiday one year using Blu cigs, but they just didn't deliver the necessary drug/experience to supplant cigarettes...they were also ridiculously expensive and I'd find myself without a working battery and/or cartridge at the end of long days. Really, it was just too much hassle to get my fix.

Around a year ago, a few acquaintances started using PVs with great success. Eventually, I made my way up to the store where these devices were sold and purchased a Volcano Inferno starter kit a couple of days before Christmas. It totally worked. I could put enough juice in the tank to last a day and the battery would last through even a long day. I knew this was going to be a way for me to finally kick the cigarette habit (again!). I haven't smoked a cigarette since getting a proper e-cig...ok, that's not strictly true, I have had a couple of different cigarettes in order to make a mental note of the flavor profile. I'm on the hunt for a reasonable analog replacement juice that I could recommend to people who need an analog-flavored juice to replace their smoking habit...much of the smoking addiction is purely mental.

That said, I learned a lot about my habit in my many attempts to stop smoking. I learned that my addiction was not only to the drug, so I use my PV much like I would use an analog: I walk outside to take "smoke breaks." This behaviour is really about me just getting a change of scenery, a way for me to mentally change gears, to step away from difficult problems in hopes of the change of scene/perspective offering insight to a previously unseen solution. There's also the social aspect; sometimes to be around people I like and sometimes a convenient way of getting away from people I don't!

It's a complex addiction at this point in life. A good e-cig seems to be perfectly suited to replace the use of cigarettes, although I do miss the nicotine rush of the day's first cigarette.

Again, congrats on your first days! If you do slip and have a few cigarettes, at least make a mental note of _why_ you specifically chose to smoke rather than vape. You'll eventually be able to use this information to combat the desire to smoke in the future.

    Vape on!

The mornings when i wake i really want a cigg That passes quick when i start vaping, im determined as well,i do find it geting easier as i go.
I have been around smokers as well and just found myself vaping out of control but thats better than smoking, you need a bit of will power as well !!

For me it seemed a bit easier. I had smoked for 21 years, 1 pack a day. Had tried everything over the uears to quit, hypnosis, nic gum, the patch, Chantrix, etc...nothing worked. I tried vaping and loved it, but did still want to smoke the first day or two. I got so caught up in vaping, and learning about all of the juices, mods, etc, that it kind of took my mind off of analogs (when I find something I like I usually go all in immediately, there is no middle ground lol).

I was having a bit of a problem with the kit I had bought (poor vape, leaking, etc) and became so frustrated that I grabbed an analog and lit up. It tasted HORRIBLE!!! It truly was disgusting to me. I knew when I stopped smoking my taste buds would eventually come back, but after just a few days I could smell and taste the analog and it wasn't a good taste/smell. That was the last analog I have had, and as long as I can continue vaping I will not go back to smoking.

Those are the very exact same reasons I smoked.
For me, it had almost nothing to do with nicotine whatsoever.

In fact, here is one of the many posts I have made on that subject...

I'm pretty sure that rush from the first cigarette of the day was due to lack of oxygen because of the carbon monoxide.

I've been almost 1.5mos w/out analogs, so I'm new at this, too. . .the first half I chain vaped, like, 6 or 7ml/day (for me, that was a ginormous increase in my nicotine activity). I'm down to something more reasonable for me. . .probably ~2-3ml/day (and even some days when I'm crazy-busy, 1/2ml). I think part of the reason why I was chain-vaping was due to the delicious flavors I was getting & switching between flavors in a handful of clearos. Now that I'm finding which flavors are my mainstays (oh, and I'm fairly obsessed with art glass drip tips so I'm finding myself saving money to buy those.), I think I'm "calming down" with the amount I'm vaping.

Thanks cstalker! I love Spirits too. I will stay strong and report back. 68 days is awesome. I did put an app on my iPhone called vapemate.
I just discovered the vapemate app too. I actually just started a thread about it in the general discussion forum. Its neat little app.
