Day 3 vaping, but....

So, I have now been vaping for 3 days and been analog free since I first began vaping!!! This is all very exciting and mind-boggling, though, I do have a little issue. vaping has been great as far as keeping me away from analogs... throat hit is still good and it is taking care of my cravings for a smoke. But.... as far as flavor goes... NOTHING! At first I thought this was because I had been a little sick and had a pretty bad cold. Now that I feel better and the cold is gone, I taste nothing in my juices! :nah: I currently have vanilla, RY4, and chocolate from Litecig. Anyone else experience this with their juices???

I went ahead and placed a few orders for juices through V4L, StrictlyEJuice, and Freedom Smokes. Should I see a significant difference in flavor or have I just wasted more money? 8-o As far as what I currently have, I will continue to vape it because there is NO WAY that I will go back to analogs.... I just really want MORE flavor in my vape!!!

MyFreedomSmokes sells extra-flavor juices and that's what I order: English Toffee, Keoke Coffee, Maple and Honey are my favorites so far. I find that I don't enjoy weak flavors at all, so the extra-flavor option is the way to go for me. They also sell a regular-strength Parliament flavor that is very, very good.

V4L juices are also good - some flavors are very good and strong/rich: espresso, orange juice, banana, grape, butterscotch, Parliament, cinnamon roll, caramel mocha frappaccino - and I'm sure I'm missing a few but those are my personal favorites.

I hear really good things about Mrs. T's Bakery and DIY Flavorshack, too, but I always seem to stick with V4L and MFS because I love their products and service.

I'm about to buy some of the flavorings mentioned by Skwerl, to spike some of the premixed juices I have on hand. And, I'm gearing up to try some DIY juices. But, I'm jumping in here primarily to mention that I, too, tasted very little for the first 4 or 5 days of smokeless vaping. I attributed that to 35 years of senses deadening smoking. Then, in less than a week, I started to actually taste again! :)

Yeah I went thru a stage when everything tasted of ONE thing only - but it passed.
I have some wonderful flavors (Tasty Vapor Butter Rum, DIYFlavorshack fired spiced apple, MsT bakery Blueberry cheesecake, to name but a few) that are nice n strong. I find the tobacco flavors don't compete for flavor (for ME) and sometimes your tastebuds just seem to give up for a couple of days. Idk why - but it goes away.
Some swear by menthol to help 'clear' it.
Maybe some new juice flavors will help you :)

E-liquids taste 'somewhat' like the flavor on the bottle. Do not expect to be wowed with grape, coconut or marlboro as flavors you might want to be tasting. It is often not there. For those that chose to use e-cigs as a smoking cessation scheme, the e-liquid flavors tend to grow on you. If you are just vaping as an alternative to tobacco smoking, you will likely not find any flavor that meets your needs.

I had no discernible taste buds when I started vaping, I just didn't know it yet! :)

I did the same thing as you. I haven't had an analog since the day I got my 510. I had a hard time even deciding if I like the general *taste* of vaping anything. I knew I loved vaping... but it wasn't so much for the taste.

It's now been 3 weeks, analog free - vaping like a maniac, and not only can I taste my e-liquids, I can actually decide if I really like them or not. The ones I've decided to "stick with" because they just fit, are the ones I keep discovering "newness" about... they just keep tasting better.

The ones I decide I don't like? I'll probably have a different opinion in another few weeks. :)

Not so good thing about getting my sense of taste and smell back? Bad smells are really bad

I've considered that as well... that it could be due to 'lack of taste senses'! Hmmm... well, once I get the rest of my juices in, either tomorrow or Sat., we shall see if there is any difference. I sure hope so!

LOL!!! Well, that does make sense... taste buds are probably shot by now! Don't get me wrong, I'm not giving up on vaping or anything... NEVER! I just wish that I could taste some of these flavors to make it a bit more interesting. I will be patient and wait for my taste buds to re-invent themselves!!!

I hope yours juices come faster than mine. I had some mailed out 6 days ago, and they still haven't arrived. Everything has been much slower thru the mail lately. It's driving me nuts. I have just 2 cartomizers left and need the juice.

Well, according to my emails... all orders were shipped out yesterday and today... let's just hope they get here soon!!! Who did you order from?

That's good to hear... got samples from V4L of their French Vanilla icecream and the coconut...

And they tasted the same. :-(

Guess I should tuck em away for now. But the others I've tried have been fantastic (cinnamon bun, coffee, black tea, green tea, pink lemonaid)

I have to tell you that I got a couple that I thought were not nice at all - they werent foul but they werent nice either.
I tried them again yesterday and for some reaon they are delicious - don't ask me to explain it, I can't, but I love one so much now that I'm thinking of getting a big size (I got some samples) because its THAT good. So don't abandon any juice, give it a few days (or a week) and try it again.

I'm just finished my second week vaping. I am going through a somewhat similar situation. I ordered too low nic level with my original kit. Struggled through first week supplementing with analogs until I got the right juice. Now been smoke free 5 days. And the flavor thing has been frustrating. What I like one day I don't like the next. Hoping and waiting for tastes to come back and settle. Best advice I got from this forum. I was advised to find the flavor I hated the least and stick with it. For now I have kinda settled on V4L VG Coffee. It seems to work for me. I consider it kinda mellow and not too sweet. But I have found myself craving sweeter flavors lately. I have found that I can vape almost anything with a little vanilla added to it. I don't understand it but it works for me. Anyway, as I stated, find what you dislike the least and ride out the taste bud return thing. It's worth it in the end. Vape on.

OK, so I just received my juices from V4L... talk about super fast shipping!!! I placed my order late Weds. morning and received the order about 30 mins ago!!! I ordered a few samples form them in hopes to find a flavor that I will 'love' vaping. The flavors I ordered are: english toffee, dark chocolate, white chocolate strawberry, peanut butter cups, and almond chocococo (almond joy). I have a major sweet tooth!!! The difference thus far is incredible from the juices that I currently have from Litecig. I could already tell a difference while filling my carts... the scent alone was strong, sweet, and inviting. I am currently vaping the english toffee (first one I have tried) and love it!!! I can DEFINITELY taste this one over any other liquid that I have tried so far. I also noticed a big difference in vapor... definitely getting more vapor on this juice!!! NOW I am in love with vaping!!! :hubba: Flavor was the only thing that seemed to be missing these last three days. Okie dokie... have more flavors to try out!!! :D

Good for you little-italy. I just got some juice and carts from Blue Grass this morning and filled a cart with the cotton candy, and yum yum. I'm liking it. I also have a few more to try, but I'll probably stick to one new one per day.

These things taste so much better than analogs.

Indeed, they do!!! Makes me wonder what I was doing smoking those nasty things and why I didn't start vaping WAY earlier than this!
