Hang in there BigCatDaddy. I've been vaping for six weeks now after 26 years of tobacco and had the same experience in the beginning. It gets easier. JUST KEEP vaping!!!

Now if I can just get my wife on board. She still thinks it's the same thing as inhaling antifreeze. Maybe she'll convert when it's below freezing outside and she's out on the porch shivering and shaking while trying to have a smoke.

All in their own good time :), especially when you start going.. mmm yummy ______(whatever your favorite flavor is at that moment). especially when it's a flavor they like! Also when your health starts really improving can be a good motivator. I think it's a great thing what you are doing. What I discovered is that when we quit our lungs start healing pretty rapidly and in turn it causes some of us to start coughing an awful lot! I experienced bad post smokers cough which is finally starting to lift and I was a 30 year smoker before. Today is my 3rd week finally off of cigarettes! Everyone has given you such great advice. I wish you the best and welcome to the site.

This is my week 2-1/2. I've been a Marlboro smoker for 25 yrs. with some on/off. Not enough to mention. I've been vaping 24mg. VG. Started with PG. I don't know what's going on, but I've been coughing for the past 2 days. Doesn't hurt, but I too have been told this is "normal" after going off analogs (Trying to get the lingo right) LOL. So far, so good. Not craving a cig at all!!!

I tried, just to see how it tasted to smoke a cig...... and it tasted horrible compared to vaping!! (I'm 2-1/2 wks now)!!!

lol this happened to me as well same time period. I thought I was craving a cigarette and lit one up, then put it out in 2 puffs. Decided I didn't crave it that much!

When I first started to vape and get off the analogs, if I tried too large a cloud, I would choke same as you. After about 2 weeks, your lungs will start to heal and you will be able to take much larger hits with no problem. I had smoked for 30 years, so I did not expect it. As you notice the morning smokers cough getting better, your energy will start increasing, and you will be a virtual fogger! Hang in there!

I'll get the hang of vaping, or at least I hope my lungs do!! Thanx for the reply and encouragement!!

Yes you will! Hang in there! As long as you're committed, & you sound like you are, it will work for you! It took me a little time to get the technique down. I wanted to vape like I was smoking a cigarette. Coughed so hard I thought I was gonna pass out!

There are a lot of secrets to massive amounts of vapor, one of which is most common and is when the vapor isn't inhaled at all, thus producing more vape that hasn't been absorbed into your soft tissue. I am new to this like you and thought the vape was no replacement for cigarettes, but was determined. Yesterday morning instead of lighting up an analog, I reached for my vape. And was surprised how much it chased away the cravings. I realized if I start my day with an analog, I crave them more, but if I start my day with the vape I crae the next hit of those juicy flavors rather than an ashtray!
