Well this only my 2nd real post on the site but I figured it would be a nice gesture to update everyone on my progress quitting analogs.
Today is day 41 without an analog. From day one I've not touched an analog. I was skeptical about the whole thing at first but I've really been surprised at the results.

My cravings for analogs have subsided to the point that I rarely have the urge anymore, even in the mornings which was my favorite cig of the day. I'm still using my inferno kit that i originally purchased and I've built up 5-6 different flavors and a few different drip tips. I'm primarily vaping on a kiwi flavor that I sometimes mix a few drops of tobacco flavor.

Anyone who is second guessing the investment of a good ecig I can honestly say that it's the only thing that has ever helped me stay off analogs this long. I have no desire to go back and eventually would like to quit vaping although I must say, it's quite relaxing and I enjoy not smelling like an ashtray. I've saved a little money but not much due to the startup cost but I hope over the next few months ill start to see my bank account rebuild. Best of luck to everyone and as always I enjoy reading everyone's post.

I'm glad to read that you are now one of the cool kids here, thats whats most important. Oh, and that you arent smoking, either. Thats a nice secondary result as well.

I'm suspicious of it all, too. I love smoking, nothing has ever helped in the slightest bit, so naturally I'm skeptical. Sometimes I feel like all of you here are all employees of various e-cig companies just making all of this up to get us to buy things from you. Heck, I still dont know better! But in the event that you arent just an e-cig employee salesman,. kudos to your health, mate :toast:

I can assure you I'm no employee I'm just sharing my results. It's been an adventure that's for sure. My wife and daughter call it my crack pipe (jokingly of course) but I'm reminded everyday how thankful I am to be off analogs.
I smelled my first smelly person on analogs the other week and almost puked. I hate that I used to put people through that smell.

This post gives me hope! I'm only on about 48 hours now, but I'm surprised at how much I DON'T want a stinkie. Hubs is smoking here in the home office with me, and it's really grossing me out. I think this is IT for me and the cigs...and I only have a little G6 kit so far...

Congrats on making the first step. The first 4 days were rough for me but I just used the inferno to help me through it. My wife said to me " you'll lose your iPhone before you let that ecig out of your sight". Lol it was true I had it glued to my hand like a second thumb. Keep up the good work and I believe you'll find a way to overcome the analogs.

Congratulations on 41 smoke-free days! I love how most people are shocked that they were able to make the switch so easily, without suffering any agonizing cravings. I think a lot of us had reached the point where we were skeptical that anything would be able to help us ditch the analogs...and then we stumbled onto ecigs and got this amazing surprise :) Vape away & enjoy!

Speaking of battery life, I work ten hour shifts at my job. I can leave at 7am and home at 6pm and still have a functional battery. I usually swap out the large battery for the smaller one when I walk in the house though. I was really concerned about battery life in the beginning but I've learned what it's capable of ad what it's not.

Thanks for the kind words. I've been thinking about cost and money saved ( or spent) so I did a little report a few minutes ago based on all my receipts. Some of which include shipping charges that I may be able to overcome since finding a local shop. My cost per day is at 4.71 a day for the first 41 days. This is still 8.00 a day cheaper than my analog habit. So "in my eyes" the way I see it is, I've saved around 300.00 so far. Bad thing is, I have a cabinet full of useless flavors I ordered. Lesson number 1 for me, just because you like to eat peaches doesn't mean peach juice is gonna be delicious. ;)

I loved smoking. Even as it wrecked my health. Still like the idea of smoking and sometimes miss it. It's a mild feeling and I haven't acted on it but I get this, "I miss it" kind of thing going sometimes.

And I didn't start this to "quit smoking". That was the last thing on my mind. I saw a Blu disposable while I was getting my regular carton of cigs and bought it just to try out this "e-cig" thing I'd been hearing about.

Then forgot to light up for nine hours.

And I know it was nine hours because after I got off the computer (what little work I have, I do here, home office thing), went into the living room, plopped down, grabbed the pack off the counter nearby and lit up, I froze, confused.

You see, the pack, lighter, and ashtray were still where I left them. Not carried into the office the way I normally would do. I mean, they were in that spot on that counter to be carried into the office. I just never did.

I got up, went to dig up the receipt. The time on it said 11:38 AM (this whole event was so startling, I remember every freaking detail :) ). It was 8:30 in the evening.

I forgot to smoke for nine hours. Me, the two pack a day smoker. The guy who carried not just one but two lighters all the time (back up in case the first one failed). Who had packs stashed everywhere. There was always one in the pick up in case I walked out of the house without grabbing one so I didn't have to run back inside and get one right?

My smoking fell from 2 packs a day to no more than six cigs per day immediately. I actually took the unopened carton back to the store and returned it. Said, a little dazed, "Apparently, I'm quitting". Exchanged it for a Blu kit (which I only kept around about two weeks but that's another story).

Did not tell anybody for two weeks. Had this weird feeling it was all some goofy dream and I'd wake up any moment.

Found ECF and ran into people who said, "Oh yeah, quitting accidentally. We hear that all the time."

Duh... really?

Nobody believed I'd ever quit. Especially not me.

But here I am...

Mark, that was a great story. Mine was much the same. One week of vaping and smoking then just vaping.

Eugene, you are doing great! Congratulations!! Don't throw away those flavors you don't like. Try mixing them. I mix fruits together, fruits with tobacco flavors, vanilla and chocolate with just about anything and absinthe with everything at one time or another. I mix them in my clearomizers. Sometimes the flavors I come up with knock my flip flops off (hate to wear socks and shoes!) other times, not so much. I guess I hate to waste the juice so I find ways to use up the stuff I don't really like. I will be DIY in the near future. I just feel it coming!

Maniacal, you will be converted! I have no doubt. Anyone who puts so much effort in finding the right looking set up will be hooked by the new and wonderful smell you will have. Especially the lack of stinky, nasty, wet ashtray smell that we all had when we were smoking. Just think, all your wonderful perfumes will now smell like perfume! Your clothes with keep the clean scent they have when straight from the dryer. Your complexion will stop aging prematurely from all the chemicals in cigarette smoke. I could go on and on and on but I don't want to dilute my post by sounding even more like a paid advertisement! Your time will come. I look forward to your posts of "I QUIT without really trying!"
