From extensive research I have done, smoking along with vaping seems more effective. Gradually one will want fewer and fewer cigarettes until they have stopped smoking and solely vape...
that makes a lot of sense really, the first few days i aw massive reduction in cig moke and just chose the vaper instead because the cigs tasted so nasty compared to them, now ive no comparison and even though the nautilis mini is not performing as i expected, it could be the whole cig addiction too. hope this goes soon. :(

I would just have a cigarette as 'needed' and continue with the vaping. If vaping is for you and you are ready to quit smoking, you will stop smoking altogether eventually...

It sounds to me like you have a flooded coil on the Nautilus. It can happen if you over primed it or if you're really taking hard draws. The way to clear it is to turn the entire unit upside down and take a medium smooth draw. What this does is keep the wick holes above the juice level and it vaporizes the extra juice. The turn it right side up and you should see a few bubbles as the wick re saturates. You might get a little juice into the mouth but just spit it on a paper towel or bog roll as you all say.

You said you had it on max power. At 30 watts it will burn up the coil and taste terrible. Start low (8 to 10 watts) and take a small hit. bump it up and repeat. If it gets too warm, tastes funny or starts to taste burnt back it down. I usually vaped my Nautilus in the 12 to 15 range for the 1.6 ohm coils. Different juices will have different sweet spots.

With the iStick, click 3 times on the fire button to select watts. Set it at 8 with the arrow buttons and take a hit. To lock the setting in hold both arrow buttons down at the same time (I found using one thumb for both buttons easiest, but it takes a few tries to get it sometimes). If it moves when you are trying to lock it down, reset it and then try again.
actually thats made a lot of difference, turned it upside and set it back down to 10w, no juice in mouth thi time.thanks

When you get the sweet spot, use the thumb and lock in the settings so it doesn't change accidentally. Once you get dialed in it should out perform the evod. Start low and work your way up.

WTA is "whole tobacco alkaloid" has derivatives from tobacco besides nicotine.

WTA = Whole Tobacco Alkaloids.

I was addicted to the "other" alkaloids in the tobacco. Regular e-juice is nicotine only (plus PG/VG and flavor.) But WTA juice has the extra stuff in it.

If you can't get satisfaction from regular ejuice then you may need WTA. It costs more, but you'll use less of it.

Google for:

Aroma Ejuice

Mother's Milk WTA

Wholecig

I use Mother's Milk DIY-unflavored at 10% in my home-made juices. You can mix that with regular juice, OR you can buy ready-to-vape juices, too.

I only need mine in the mornings and then vape regular juice the rest of the day.

EDIT: THis whole thing about smoking a cig once in a while when you need it is corrected by the WTA. The cigs have those extra alkaloids in them just like the WTA does.

Vape carefully with the WTA until you figure out how much you need. It is strong stuff.

The Nautilus Mini is the tank that got me off the smokes, and now I have a hard time using any tank other than the Nautilus Mini. Anyways, one time my iStick got bumped up to 30W without me knowing while I was driving. When I took my next vape, it was ghastly, sort of burned my tongue and made me cough, and the coil was fried rather quickly. I have found my sweet-spot is between 13W and about 16W, sometimes up to 18W. Anything more than 20W, though, and you're smoking cotton.

@katemcg ..Sorry you are having so much trouble :( Lots of us here have been through it and so you couldn't be in better company. It's really tough for sure and anyone who say's different is super human or something. Tough or not, you can do it...and you need to do it for your own health. But, don't push yourself. If you need to smoke then by all means smoke. But whatever you do please don't stop vaping because it will work given enough time.

1.9ohm 29.6 w 7.5v, and its a slurp with the punch of a extra lite cigarette.

chain vaping 20+ mg at 30 watts is too high for somebody new.
i think you are burning your throat; i'd expect you to feel hoarseness of throat and a feeling like your breathing is constricted

I can understand this feeling. When I started out with e-cigarettes I still wanted to reach for a regular cig. It took me a week to adjust completely to the e-cig. That being said I still want a regular cig first thing in the morning but I have to keep in mind a few things that help me fight that impulse.
1.) The time I have away from regular cigarettes. It's been a few weeks for me now and I really don't want to loose that.
2.) I no longer smell like I work in a chimney. Everyone who spends time with me has commented on that fact time and time again.
3.) I can smell the flowers now. It is getting fall though so I had very little time to enjoy that this year but so looking forward to it next year.
4.) I have energy now. My son and I played football together last week and for the first time in years I was able to keep up with him.
I could never see myself going back to regular cigarettes knowing that I'll be letting myself down and loosing all that I have now since I switched.

Seriously, 5 whole days and your freaking out about a natural reaction?
The mind is an obstinate thing, but you can use that to your advantage.
Body changes are natural, things are flushing out and your are getting healthier by the second. Problem is the Mind will take every change and SCREAM NOOOOOO.

    Vape a little less
    Breath a little Deeper
Remind yourself it is the Nic, not the Cigarette

As your body settles, so will your attitude toward winning.
I carried my lighter in pocket for over a year. Closer to two actually. Can't tell you how many times it just naturally came out of my pocket after eating. Not even thinking, just boom, in my hand.
I finally gave it away and still reach now and then.
A lot of self instilled habits have to be worked on.

    Is it worth it?
    Better Question -
    Are you worth it?
    I think you are.:)
