So, after four months of vaping, and two months completely free of analogs, I stumbled yesterday and tried to have one with my glass of wine. In my wine-buzzed head, I NEEEEEEDED that thing. Until I had it, lit it, and realized how horrible it tasted. :D Back to my vape.

Gonna need to find something that pairs well with a dry red. ;) I need a vape sommelier for these things.
i love my mint vape with red, its yum! and no coated scummy tongue in the morning, i keep seeing more and more reason to keep going! even going into the shower, the smell of cigarettes when the hot water hits my hair was always nasty, now no stench. :w00t::D

My favorite silly moment of vaping was one day, I got to work early and sat in my car and vaped for about 20 minutes. Left my vape in my car and came back on my break to grab it. When I opened the door I was flooooooded with strawberry kiwi smell. It was that *HOLY COW* moment when I realized that my car had stopped smelling like smoke and started smelling like yummy vapes instead. And that I could now smell enough to notice. :D

Or, when my g/f asked if I got a body spray or stopped for an extra coffee on the way home because I "smelled like I had been at a bakery all day". . . and I was like, ummmmmm, no, but I did just break out this new vanilla cupcake vape? And then I realized it had made my shirt and hair smell like vanilla cupcakes. Best moment ever.

Katemg, do you have any vape shops in your area? If so check and see if they have a tasting bar and go experiment with new flavors, you may find 2 or 3 that you like and can switch in your rotation. Like said the Kanger Subtank Nano is a decent tank and sub ohming will help you get the feel of smoking with less nicotine. If you are getting juice sucked into your mouth, open the airflow and take a long but light airy puff (like drawing air thru a straw) roll the vapor around the back of your throat and exhale a little thru your nose. You should feel more like you are smoking a cigarette this way and maximizing your throat hit without it being too harsh. I like to keep a couple of tanks filled with different juice so I don't get vapors tongue (lose my taste for my favorite juice)If you decide to go with the Subtank Nano and try the .5 sub ohm coil you can pick up some vg in the First aid dept of your local Walmart and mix your current 25mg e-juice 50/50 with the VG to bring the nicotine down to a safer level for sub-ohming. Whatever you decide stick with it and eventually you will not feel the need for the stinky smokes. Good luck

thanks, im so lucky to have a vape shop in the next town,6 miles away and the lovely girl there let me sample loads, i stuck with mint flavours because it was similar to the cigs i smoked, i also got raspberry mint and tutti frutti, but i intend to go and get some sweet flavours and nutty flavours tomor or fri, my nautilis is working great again, i had forgotten that i did let it empty and took a puff and nearly choked, so thats how i ruined the coil and the problems started, after changing it , i found 4.3v 10.1w works just gorgeous and i tend to take a series of small "sips" in one inhale and i get loads of vapor instead of sucking once like a demon :D

WOW! You've come a long way in a few days. Congrats Kate on jumping the last hurdle. There may be more, so don't hesitate to ask for encouragement. They'll be farther and farther apart but we're here for ya when you need us. You're not heavy, you're our sister! That cow in your avatar though, someone else might need to do THAT heavy lifting. ;)

aw thank you, youre awesome! i love this forum, i know 100percent i would be smoking if it wasnt for the wonderful support here, i still have 10 cigs left, i DONT want to go back and although i might seem a bit of a pest posting so much, i know this is how to keep moving and how to create a new habit , so much healthier and a whole new discovery. every day i just notice yet another reason, and when i was doubting, i got so much advice and support, i just know in my heart that my plan is more than possible. its an incredible feeling, ive had so many insecurites and tbh for once i feel like i can win at something! thanks so much , ill still be a pest but ill pass on what i learn too x

I know the feeling of wanting a cigarette. I agree with other folks, if you want one that badly there is no law stating you can't have one.
The "quit" journey is a personal one. What works for one may not work for another. Be gentle with yourself and take it one day at a time. One hour at a time if need be.
I've not had a cigarette in 4 weeks. Do I miss it? Sometimes. I actually started vaping about 6 weeks ago with no real intention of quitting the smokes. I didn't want to put pressure on myself because I knew that would result in an epic fail...oh the head games we play with ourselves!
That said, I continued to smoke when I began vaping; alternating my vape with cigs. When I ran out of cigs I decided I'd try to put off buying a pack. Without pressuring myself I figured I could zip to the store if need be. 4 weeks later and I haven't bought a pack nor smoked a cig.
Take it slow. Don't punish yourself for having cravings. Just do the best you can in that moment.
We're on your side.

Cheers

When I first switched over, I finished my carton of Swisher Sweet peach cigars first...or so I thought...2 weeks after quitting the stinkies and going strictly vape, I found a brand new pack of the cigars in my laptop bag....I have slight OCD about finishing things, so I determined that I needed to finish that pack. Lit the first one and oh holy yuck! I gagged my way through 1/2 of the pack and just couldn't do anymore. I now have the last 10 in the pack, framed on my desk to remind me that not everything has to be finished after all  Every time I look at it I get a grin remembering how my hubby laughed at me as I gagged my way through one!

day 5 and although i upped nic strength to 25mg, im am craving cigarettes terribly today, the evod vv is O MUCH better than the nautilis mini and iStick 30, i keep reaching my hand out and looking for my cig pack even though im vaping constantly, all i have is aching throat and constant indigestion ,(nevermind the farts). this is not what i expected. FED UP:nah:
I cut down to 10, 8,6 and now 4 or less cigs a day. I never went cold turkey. I have 2 smoked in the morning and one after lunch, dinner and 1 before bed. that the most i smoke now. I'm starting to cut the after supper cig now. try that instead of 100% quitting all at once if it bothers you that much. I smoked a pack a day for 35 years.
