You might get to a point where even when you smell a cig you will hate it, that's how I am now. I smoked for 43 yrs, 2+ packs a day and loved every one . It took about 4 months of vaping to get that way. I even tried one after a BAD day and could only take 2 drags and the taste was horrible. Don't give up you can do it! I have faith in you.

don't worry about that one little guy...he's not important. think about the ones that you have NOT smoked since you started. Quitting is rarely a one time thing. It's easy to say, "that was my last one" as you throw it on the ground. When I finally quit, it was after over 3 months of vaping/smoking/nicotine gum/patches.

good luck and hang in there!

First off... a "feeling" is not the same as a craving. A *craving* will make you cry, put you on the floor with NEED... feelings are easily dismissed; just do something different, distract yourself.

There is also WTA -- if the CRAVING persists, then WTA is where you go, not cigarettes. Your brain will keep you addicted to cigarettes just as long as you allow it to do so.

And also... the CRAVING does go away. For me, it required WTA to make them go away, but go away they did, and have not returned. Thoughts and feelings may never go away, they may always recur in times of stress -- but you don't have to listen to them; distract yourself! If distraction doesn't help, then it's a craving, and WTA is called for.

I highly recommend Wholecig; their WTA is far less expensive than Aroma's, and is every bit as pure, clear, and effective. I started off using it as 10% of my vape, in everything I vaped; I'm now down to 2.2% -- and still without cravings -- since I started reducing it in January.

Difference of opinion I guess. If I don't vape and try to go cold turkey I get a "feeling" of punching someone in the face or wishing I had missile launchers on the front of my car for the person in front of me at a just-turned-green light that cannot figure out where the gas pedal is quickly enough. And yes, I may even throw myself on the ground in a full blown tantrum. However, a constant nagging of wanting/craving a smoke is nonetheless quite aggrivating and frustrating when it just isn't going away and just as disheartening and uncomfortable as a hard "craving" that passes after a few mins. However, if I find myself on the verge of commiting assault any any innocent bystanders in the near future lol, I will certainly look into this advice.

Cravings do give you those feelings, rage or despair or however you express that sort of extreme need. If you can distract yourself from it, then it's not a craving; if you can't distract yourself from it at all, it insists on remaining front and center of your consciousness no matter what you do, then that's a craving, and the only way to satisfy it is either smoke, or WTA; if you want to escape that feeling without smoking, then WTA.

Also Snus, the real Swedish kind, because it also contains the full alkaloid spectrum, but I have no idea how that can be obtained; the American version, I've gathered, is rather useless. I personally object to the idea of putting tobacco in my mouth, so I used WTA -- because that type of craving, that will not go away no matter what you do, is very real, and absolutely shattering.

Huh. I'm one of the odd ones then. I smoked for a long time, and after a couple months of vaping i can't stand cigarette smell or taste. I actually took 1 puff in a drunken haze while i was on vacation, immediately threw it away and banged myself on the head while having that disgusting taste in my mouth for the next couple hours.
Try to find a satisfying vape. Naturally, this is different for everyone. I was on an ego, then a 15w vamo, then a 30w box mod. Was not satisfied until i got on the box mod and DIY my liquid.
When you get that satisfaction with the vape, i doubt you will be craving for ashtray mouth after a chocolate pie taste :)
    Good luck with it

I was recently on Vacation and for some silly reason involving alcohol and pool and social aspects I had a few smokes. Havent had one since. Menthol smokes still taste good to me.
but Cravings dont go away. The thing I found with Vaping though, Is that it is not like you have a smoke, and the cravings come back stronger.
I dunno. I wouldnt worry about it so much. If you have the odd smoke, its no biggie. If you are really trying to quit, youll get there soon enough, Just dont stress yourself out too much about it.
