Oh this makes me want a Black Mini so very very badly. No need for a 2nd at all, but damn that looks slick. I wanted Black originally, but only found local stock of bronze and silver. I took home the silver, but damn I really wanted that black one. CONGRATS!
You can wrap them.
I have silvers because I didn't want to get stuck with the same color all the time. I considered black, and while it wouldn't damage the finish, it occurred to me that any residual adhesive would show and I'd have to clean it more often.
Vapor Skinz and J-Wraps have a variety of patterns and even their custom orders aren't expensive. It's also not very difficult to might your own wraps if you're into it.
Yeah, I think I would miss the tactile feel of the engraved design with a wrap. A big part of the satisfaction of the Mini is just how it feels in my hand. I specifically got the mini vs. the full size because of the tear-drop design. I'm super happy with my silver, and in no rush for a black mini just yet. Maybe for xmas, or a nice bonus for myself when I land my next client. When I do pick up a black one, I think my silver one will get an R2D2 wrap, at least to try one out.
I preferred the feel of fabric, but now I have them both in Serenity sleeves and I like how they stay warm.
