So, my order arrived today. I had my last analog at 7:15 this morning. When I got to work, my first PV, a little V2 Standard Kit (1 auto, 1 manual battery) arrived at 8am. I immediately unpacked it, put it together and have not had an analog since! I had one rough spot after I ate dinner around 5:30pm, but I actually managed to vape the craving away! I think I can make it through until bedtime!

So far, I've been using the manual, I haven't hit the end of the coffee flavor prefilled carto yet, and I haven't had to charge the battery yet either, the production and flavor are still good 12 hours later. I"m pretty shocked. THe only time I used the auto was in the car on my short drive home. I definitely like the auto in the car I know that already. (like my cars manual and my vapes auto apparently. lol. When not driving, I do prefer the manual)

The last time I went 12 hours without a cigarette was almost three years ago and I was climbing the walls on a flight from Seattle to Istanbul. This last 12 hours has been a snap for the most part! I had to struggle for about 20 minutes, but that's it!

Good lord, I think I might actually be able to do this! 30 years a 1.5-2 PAD smoker, and this was the easist 12 hours without .... ever. I know I'll need something better than the V2 eventually, but I'm pretty darn impressed with it today. Tons of vapor (so much that I've realized I have to be careful how heavily I hit it or I'll cough myself out haha) and tons of flavor.

Can't wait until the empty carts get here on Monday... I also recieved a bunch of e-juices from ECBlend today... they smell SO good. LOL.

Glad you enjoyed the V2, it is a good starter, mine was the Blu, then i decided to get the V2 but someone told me that the company going to release a new version so I decided to wait, that was a month ago, meanwhile i did some research and decided to get the kGo, it is a great pv, now I am waiting for the ultimate which is the Provari.

Good luck to you.

Great news, and welcome to your new life!

One of the many beautiful things about this is that vaping is more enjoyable than cigarettes, so I think you'll find that they just fall away naturally, with no struggle at all.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and offer something; if you find yourself going crazy, thinking you're craving a cigarette, you might want to consider just having one. I say this because you'll probably find that you don't even like it, and it will remove the "forbidden fruit" factor if you allow yourself to have one whenever you want, with the up side being that I truly think that you just won't like them any more.

Most people I tell about vaping are very receptive, and some just reject the notion out of hand. Some guy yesterday asked why on earth he'd want to start vaping. The main answers I usually give are 1) vaping is more pleasurable than cigarettes, 2) it costs 1/4 to 1/2 as much, and 3) it doesn't freaking kill you. Add to that the fact that you can take a puff any time you want, just about anywhere you want, in any flavor imaginable, in any strength of nicotine you want to, including zero.

Reason number 1 is the one I want to stress to you, in case you haven't discovered it yet for yourself. Vaping is MORE PLEASURABLE than cigarettes, which is why I'm very confident that you'll stay with it for the rest of your (much healthier) life, and why I dare to suggest that you go ahead and smoke a ciggie if your head keeps telling you to - you're just not going to prefer them to vaping.

I love all the flavors, and the fact that I can actually taste them, and not stinking to high heaven all the time. And my dog is much happier too.

Again, welcome to your new life, and vape on!

Congrats on your success. You did exactly what I did when I first started vaping and a craving hit me. Vape Vape Vape and soon all is right with the world again. I chained vaped pretty heavy to get by some of the cravings and fried a few Atty's in the process but surprisingly enough for me the cravings where not any where near the absolute desparation cravings I got when I tried quiting cold turkey. After 42 years of smoking 1 to 1.5 Packs a day it took me only 4 days to fully convert to Vaping and by the end of the first month the cravings where pretty much non existent. I occationaly get that little nagging feeling if I'm working around the house or playing computer games for a couple of hours and forget to Vape. All it takes is a few minutes of vaping and I good to go again. I had truely resigned myself to dieing of a smoking related illness as I just could not quit smoking and believe me I tried all the pills and drills, including hypnosis, nothing worked until a friend let me try his Ecig and I said what the heck I'll give it a try. I now haven't had a cigarette in over 1 year and feel great. I really love the vaping experience and the flavors. Vaping has been a truly life changing event for me. The best advice I can offer is keep your batteries charged, keep enough juice on hand, keep extra atty's or cartomizers on hand and when one of those nasty cravings hit, just pull out the old ecig and vape til all is right with the world again.

It's funny, I've started out with an 18mg cartridge, and I think it's actually too strong! hahaha! I'll stick with them through the weekend until my empty cartos come in the mail on Monday... then I'll start using the 12mg juices I got today from another vendor.

I think I realized something else too... this one battery has lasted me ALL day... and I havent hit the end of a carto yet... I'm baffled. I'm beginning to think that while I was going through 1.5-2 PAD, for the last 20 years at least, I'm wondering if I had more of a tendancy to only take a handful of drags off each one. I'm sufficiently perplexed. This dang battery and carto should not be going this long... but I'm not going to complain! LOL.

Congratulations!!!:toast: this board helps a lot too. I started with a Greensmoke and then switched to a KGO from Hoosier. It was a very affordable starter kit, and I am so happy with it. I was a heavy smoker for over thirty years 1-2pad. Newports. I have been under three analogs a day for awhile now. Today just the morning analog, and you know I am perfectly fine. Tomorrow I'm not going to use that one and I'll start the day vaping.

I'm so happy for you. Vaping is the most amazing thing, and it's saving lives each day. Great luck to you!

It's actually sort of funny... there are 4 people in my group at work... three of us are smokers, and one isn't. One gal started Chantix on Monday, the boss is still on his analogs and I've hit the PV. Chantix girl isn't doing so well... She's bummed a number of analogs from us (I still have a pack in my desk), and she's also exploded into some fairly psychotic episodes this week too. She's SUPER irritable. My boss is really interested in trying a PV now. HE quit for 2 months last year after a bout with pneumonia, but picked it up again when he went out to a pub with friends. He's a fairly light smoker so he'll probably be pretty successful with a PV.

Our goal is to have our whole department off stinkys! I don't think Chantix girl is going to be very successful though, and she seems utterly uninterested in trying a PV.

The CEO of our company--and we're not a small company--basically mandated that anyone who can be analog free for 6 months, will get a bonus equal to one week of pay. He's also given his stamp of approval on PVs at work at our desks if we'd like--nevermind that technically that's illegal in our county, he knows it and he doesn't care.

My initial main motivation for quitting was the sheer cost. I was spending at minimum $510 a month on analogs. I can't afford it. I've never had any real side effects from smoking per se (no wheezing, no coughing, no lowered resistance etc...) so that was only a secondary reason to quit. The insane cost of analogs is what put me to discover a new way. At $8.20 a pack, at $17 per day, I could no longer afford it. It was literally breaking my bank.

Next goal. Lose 10lbs. LOL.

Seriously: pay attention to what your body says. If you're having a strong craving for an analog, visit your higher-nic juice. Keep some higher-nicotine juice on hand JUST for that purpose.

I originally ordered 24mg. I then dropped to 16-18. I'm on 12 now without any real problems, and I have a bunch of stuff in the house to do DIY with, which will provide me with 0mg for between the nic-vapes. I'm not in a rush to wean myself off 12mg nicotine, but you know, if I can wean myself off, then it's all PG, VG and flavor, and I'm absolutely good with that. :)

I smoked for 25 years. It's a world of difference!
