Mine was okay for about a week…almost 2……hasn't "leaked" yet but I get flooding that might have something to do with the seals or a visible flaw in the tank tube. But it still works great when it's not flooding (might also be a problem with that carto…didn't do it with the first one).

I'll probably be buying a Cartomator instead of another DCT in the near future……the delrin end-cap version only costs like 2.5 times as much and as supposed to be a lot better. But if I get the flooding problem figured out, I'd keep using the DCT as long as it lasts.

For the price, I don't think they're bad. But I also haven't used anything better yet.

To me, a tank is just a bottle.

The DCT works fine on my end. No leaks, easy to fill, never cracks, and it's only my carry-around ego so it gets dropped/throw into pockets/left around alot.

It's cheap, does what it says it does, no issues.

Of course it uses a proprietary cartomizer which isn't absolutely terrible, but for the price it's fine. The liquid in the tank going down has only one place to go, which is into the cartomizer. If it isn't leaking, it's filling up the bottom of the cartomizer. You can only saturate so much of the filler by dripping from the top, so all it's doing is saturating the bottom.

I actually take a fresh cartomizer, fill it (30ish-40 drops-ish from the top), put it in the tank, fill the tank, give it a quick blow out to get rid of excess juice, then let it sit overnight. The next morning, I top off the tank, and I'm good to go for days.

I also use a Provari as my main PV, but it never gets the tank treatment, only atomizers and straight dripping.

If you're carrying it around, the DCT won't disappoint for the price paid.

I have used the DCT setup since they came out and love them. I have tried single cartos, clearos, vivis but all seem the give me dry-burnt tasting hits. The DCT is my fav. Never had a dry or burnt hit yet. I load a fresh carto everyother day. They are cheap enough that cleaning them is too much trouble. I use them on both my provaris and Ego twists.

you don't have to use the special flanged cartos in dctanks. I've been using them for months with regular (or non flanged) xxl boge cartos and have not had any problem with flooding due to air leaks. My only problem now is that I'm tasting the filler inside the carto where I couldn't before.. it's been creeping up more and more and sooner and sooner. It's getting to be a problem. But as far as the dctanks, they're cheap and work well for me. They're not the most stable of tanks, meaning you can't pick up your device by the tank and sling it around... the tank will slide off the carto. But it's stable enough for me to toss and carry in my purse with no worries of leaking.

I like the DCT I have, I used it for a few weeks, and still do, but it's taken a back-seat to the vivi nova, which I like more, it tastes "clean" compared to cartos, especially with NET juice, even if the flavor isn't as strong, it's better, IMO.

I used a smoktech 1.6 carto in the tank (the one it came with) for almost 3 weeks before it started to taste off (the filler slowly turned black), I figure that was about 8-9 fills of the 3ml tank (I was using other devices too). It still works fine, though I've stopped using that carto. I replaced it with a 2.5 smoktech that is still going strong after maybe three fills. I've not had any leaks, and it is pretty easy to fill. No complaints really, but the nova is now my all-day vape.

I ordered a vivi nova to see what it's like, but after changing the carto, my flooding problem is gone for now…seems like that carto just wore out……which fits with some of the complaints people have been reporting about them. With the ego thread cover things for the DCTs, the tank doesn't slide down at all, and even with a normal drip tip, it hasn't slid up or off at all, but I also use a Twist. If you use a heavier mod, just don't pick it up by the tank.

I can screw the carto on and off with the tank…it slides a bit, but it seems like that just keeps me from over-tightening it. It really doesn't seem like too much of a problem, but I also haven't used anything better. Still debating on a short smoktech tank and a cartomator, but we'll see what happens……kind of irrelevant IMHO unless I find somewhere that sells better cartos than the Smoktechs I'm using.

I like my DCT and use it as my primary vape now. I have had no leaking problems at all. The only prob I have is that the dual coil SmokTek cartos don't last as long as the Boge cartos that I had been using before getting the tank. I could use the Boges in the tank but they are a bit too short. I am thinking about getting some xxl Boge single coil cartos. The dual coils seem to use juice faster and don't give me any more vapor than the singles IMHO.

Can anybody tell me a good place to get the single coil xxl cartos that will fit my tanks? I cannot find them at any of the vendors I have been using.

Thanx

I too am curious what a single coil in the DCT would be like. Would that make it an SCT? :) We need a better name for these tanks. It's a tad confusing.

here's a single coil flanged carto one:

Tank Replacement Low Resistance (1.7 Ohm) Cartomizer - $2.10 : Heathers Heavenly Vapes, Top Quality Custom E-Liquids

I'll probably give one of those a try at some point.

Here's another vendor with single-coil punched flanged cartos:
