Hello there. first post on the forums so bare with me please...

I just bought my first vape about a week ago and love it to death. Got the Pro-Vari Mini with the DCT 6ML tank. I've had issues finding the right cartomizer for it. After 2 wrong orders of the wrong carto's I finally found the one I need. The DCT 3ohm 2 hole-punched Carto. I have a few questions... First being how long do these typically last? Also these have a built in Atomizer correct? Ordered the wrong ones and cant order more until I get paid in a week. Trying to see how long I have on this carto before it goes bad and my vaping gets put on hold. The travesty, the nightmare!

Also I would love any suggestions on good juice sites, there's so many and would like to know the good ones with positive reputations. Cheap-Mid price juice is what I am looknig for. Last request would be is 50%VG 50%PG a good place to start in my juicing adventure? I prefer 18-24 Nictoine level.

Sorry for all the questions and I appreciate all the help and feedback!

I am not familiar with dual coil cartomizers, as I use single coils cartos with my prothingy thing mini. I would have to say, at least a week, depending on the e juice.

I prefer a 50/50 e juice. Thus far, Mount Baker Vapor e juice work the best for me in that combo. I typically add 2 flavor shots.

If it says cartomizer, yes it has a built in atomizer.

The cartos should last you a week maybe even longer. A lot of this is dependent on the type of juice you put in there. A darker juice or anything sweet is going to put more wear on a cartomizer than say a lighter tobacco flavored juice.

A 50/50 juice is going to be thicker than say a 70/30 obviously but what this means is the wicking will be somewhat more difficult. You will want to make sure you have at least 2 holes in the carto and may even want to consider 3 holes for the 50/50.

Good juice can be had at Backwoods Brew. He specializes in tobacco flavors but all his flavors are pretty good. They are 6.50 for 10ml and 16.50 for 30ml. Stay away from the malty and the malty toffee as those are thicker than 50/50. Also avoid that cappucino he has, it will wear out cartomizers real quickly.

I also prefer single coil cartomizers. Dual coils drain the battery faster and have a tendency to give dry hits due to the upper heating coil not getting enough juice (my theory). 2.5 - 3.o ohms is a good resistance to use on a Provari or any variable voltage battery device, as it offers the widest range of voltage (3.4v - 5.0v).

I get 1 - 3 weeks on average with the cartos in my cartotanks. As said before, darker flavors and heavier vg juices tend to clog the polyfill of carts faster. You'll know when its time to replace the carto when the draw becomes too stiff, or you begin to notice a major drop in flavor.

I don't get too concerned about how long my cartos last, although I'd like for them to last longer than shorter. I recall spending $5 - $6 A DAY on cigarettes, I don't mind spending $2 on a carto that likely will last me 1 - 3 weeks. Buy them in large bunches so that you never need worry about running low.

I have a HUGE list of online vendors that sell pre-punched, single coil cartomizers here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3295-2-sample-list-vendors-selling-pre-punched-single-coil-cartomizers-cartotanks.html

I made a cartotank tutorial here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3710-5-cartomizer-tank-setup.html

Be aware that some juice flavors can crack or melt the plastic tube in your current tank: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3733-6-something-safe-cinnamon-citrus-flavors.html

If you have 3.0 ohm cartos, chances are really good they are single coil. I use Boge 3.0 single coil with two holes and they are really nice. DCT (dual coil tank) has become a common short cut for just about any cartomizer - tank combination. Here is a good place to start your juice search with reputable vendores. Good luck.

IBTanked? What kind of set up, I just blindly bought the 6ML tank without really knowing what I was getting myself into. I do have the single coil that came with my tank. Don't know if I want to venture in a rebuildable tank system quite yet, as they are expensive and seem complicated to thread the mesh and all that. Would like to use Cartos that are more readily available and widely used then the DCT, though I do think they do a good job.

Three juice vendors that I recommend use all-natural, all-organic flavorings, which I have come to believe produce the best flavored e-liquids from my year's experience vaping and trying many juice vendors. All three offer you options on the pg/vg ratio you prefer. I tend to order a 50/50 or 30/70 pg/vg ratio.

One laser drilled hole should be adequate for 50/50; two laser drilled holes works best for the higher vg juices. Priming the carto properly before it goes in the tank is KEY to cartotanking; see my tutorial.

I also recommend the pyrex tanks from IBTanked. One of the blog articles that I linked in my first post in this thread is a review of those tanks. I now have seven of them.

I'm new and trying to get a carto tank setup, I'm using vivi nova and want to try something with more flavor. I love your info:) on carto tanks and thought I had found the perfect option, a whole kit, but they are sold out. I'm afraid to order seperate and order wrong thing, already been there and done that:( any other assistance would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the GREAT work
