So I have 3 of these now. Two of the larger ones of the I guess 5 or 6ml capacity and one of the smaller 3.5 ml ones.

I use mainly 70/30 pg/vg juice ratios. I've notice that the larger tanks wick with no problem whatsoever, but the smaller ones have a really hard time wicking the juice. My opinion on this is that theres more room between the carto and the side wall of the tank and therefore more space for the juice to be sucked in.

Anyone else noticed anything similar? I'm assuming I'd just have to make the hole bigger for the smaller tanks? I've been using the pre-punched, flanged cartos. I hate the idea of trying to punch these myself.

I use both sizes of the DCT tanks (polypropylene). I haven't noticed any wicking differences between the two sizes. The only thing that seems to affect wicking generally is the juice itself. I've had on hand pre-punced cartos both single and triple punched. If a tank seems to be having issues with a certain juice (either flooding or slow wicking), I switch out to a new different carto before the next refill. I choose the triple punched for slow wicking, or the single for the easy flooding.

I prefer buying the prepunced cartos, but they are not always available or in stock, so I recently went ahead and got a relatively cheap carto punch for around $15. I haven't used it yet, but at least it is now an option. I also am considering experimenting with other brand cartos besides the dual coil.
