I am quite New But I would have to agree that something might be wrong with that Particular EVOD because I have one and a Pro tank. The Evod takes less juice Taste better and if it was Glass would be my only...The protank is a Nice piece but I would think you need at least a VV to have it work properly...As to the Tank in the Vid;I like it but for the small price of replacing the Guts of an Evod I think being ale to have multiple flavors at hand is a little better than having a lot of juice...

Once you have the methodology down, it will take about 10 minutes to set up cartotank. After that it is maintanance free. When the tank get low on juice, just push the carto down halfway, add more juice, then pop the carto back up into place. At some point (after approximately 25 - 30 ml of juice), the carto will have a stiff draw and need to be replaced.

So aside from the initial 10 minute setup, cartotanks are maintanance free.

the video says it should only take about a minute and it looks super easy, just fill the tank, drop ~20 drogs into the carto as well while not getting any into the middle and go, i am curious where the 10 minutes comes from? is it because when u buy cartos u have to punch those holes yourself?

anything else tehre is to set up? i do also understand that this is a huge deal of preference by the vapor but i only kno clearo's and have used iclear 16 (garbage flavor but massive vapor), t3 (meh), evod (good) and protank (which i use always now and like except for the draw but i just cover some of the holes). i also like the way the carto/tanks look and am soon thinking of upgrading from my ego-twist to a sigelei zmax v3 or a vamo v3 soon

recommendations?

edit: ps that slap yo mama tool looks like it makes it a lot easier

It takes 10 minutes because it takes time for the juice to get soaked up into the cartomizer filler. Making sure the carto is well primed is the absolutely most essential part of the process. Otherwise the filler will get burned and be trash.

I always buy pre-punched (laser cut) cartos. That way the carto isn't deformed from me doing a bad job punching it myself. Perfect every time.

Instead of the Slap Yo Mama tool, I use a DCT Refilling Funnel for filling. Nothing could be easier. I love this thing.

And, whenever a tiny bit of juice gets into the airtube, I use a 510 Long Skinny Drip Tip. I just put the drip-tip on, push the carto down far enough that the airholes can be seen outside of the tank, and blow out any juice in the air tube. Then just slide the carto back in.

My first "upgrade" was a Vivi nova. I liked it at first but it quickly showed its weaknesses. I'm strictly a cartomizer and tank guy now. I think the top or bottom coil rebuildable tanks are great for some users. But I'm a flight attendant end the pressure in the cabin causes everything to flood. The cartos seem to hold up the best.

First, I would suggest the Sigelei ZMAX over the Vamo for build quality alone. Second, if you are going with a carto tank, a tool like slap yo mama is highly recommended. It is not just a tool to fill your tank, it also helps install the carto in the tank without damaging your orings. There are many similar tools out there.

Personally, I would suggest getting a tank from IBTanked. They come with everything you need. The drip tip they give you doubles as a carto tool like the slap yo mama. I have 5 of these tanks and they are awesome. Great build quality and very reasonably priced.

Thank you everyone for your replies. Yse I seen the video for the SYM and it looks like it makes things a lot easier, and I have also seen the long skinny drip tips that look just like the SYM. I think I am going to go with a DCT and just get a SC cart. For now, maybe a little down the road I'll get a vv and can start using DC, but for now I think the SC will work just fine. i've been hearing very good things about DCT's. With only having a regular ego, would I be able to use a Kanger ProTank, or is that something for VV's?
