After about 30-45 mins of vaping some mixes i put together my ego tank atty died on me. Here's what i did:

20% VG (was i supposed to add water?) 20% flavor and the rest pure PG about 60% i guess plus whatever amount PG is in the flavoring.

I used Tiramisu first, Caramel Candy second, then Marshmallow. The only thing i noticed was that it seemed to taste very dry and the Tiramisu seemed to linger in the atty when i tried the other two. The only things i can think of is that i used too much flavor (can this clog atty?) or i need to dilute the VG with water. Please help i don't wanna clog my only other atty.

It does not fire up anymore. I'm assuming that some quality of the juice i made either made it burn too hot or it prevented the liquid from wicking properly and as well made the atty burn too hot. I would find it hard to believe that it's just coincidence that i never had a problem with it for 3 weeks then 30 mins after using a different liquid that it just stopped working. I could be wrong though.

Is it possible that i just overheated it trying to get the other flavor out before trying another? The thing that still sticks in my mind is that the tiramisu flavor lingered throughout this whole process. Whereas with other juices i've used, i pop a tank off...take a few puffs to near dry it...then throw a tank on with a new flavor.

The other part of my question is why did it taste so dry compared to the other juices i've used. I've seen something about letting the flavor steep overnight. Could that be a part of the dry taste problem?

Sorry to post so much in succession...there's another thing i'm noticing here. I left the tank in the dead atty all day. It went in as Marshmallow with a very light flavor. Now that i'm looking at it, it's dark. It seems to me there was so much flavor from the tiramisu left over that it wicked back up into the tank and turned the marshmallow dark. Just some food for thought for whoever might come up with a better solution than me.

Here we go again....i was hesitant to try my juice on my only other ego tank atty. I mixed it up just like the first post up there. This time i had about 5 drops of flavor for 25 drops of juice (20%). The flavors were White Chocolate and Sweet Cream both of which are almost clear liquids.

After a few minutes the juice started turning dark like chocolate and bam....clogged atty. The juice will not wick through it. I'm afraid to press the battery button and i'm just gonna try and clean it in hopes my atty isn't dead yet. I left it sitting last night with regular juice in it from a vendor and it's not wicking at all. Any ideas on why the juice isn't wicking through? I clean my atties once a week, i'm assuming that's enough. But please don't tell me there's nothing wrong with the juice i made because each atty is clogging only 20-40 mins after using my diy liquid. Do i either need to add water to thin it out or is it the flavoring clogging the wick or whatever gets clogged?

The flavoring is for food use. Check Capella, Flaovour Art, and TPA's sites. They all say it is for use in food only. We are using it, and some resellers are selling it, differently.

None of the other flavors you noted have sugar in them to my knowledge.

But, if you were testing the attys, then you would have used the same flavoring again instead of switching flavors. You cannot change all the variables in an experiment and say you've concluded anything.

If killing attys is a big deal for you, then experimenting with DIY juice can be flirting with disaster. When I'm doing things I have never tried before I use my "gimpy" attys. The omes that work, but not well, because I hate blowing a good atty.

I understand it's for food use but i bought it from a specific Ecig site meant for diy liquids. I'm wondering why they would sell it if it has sugars that are known to clog atomizers.

I'm confused about the whole testing and experimenting thing and what exactly i have concluded. I'm posting here to find out what is wrong that is causing my atties to die. If i had the answer i wouldn't be posting for help. You were the one that told me that White Chocolate has sugars and will clog an atty... so my response was to your reply to my question.
