Hi guys, i'm a newbeee..

I found this forun from searching on google about 510 batteries going dead after using a brand new genuine 510 carto. I found a thread in this forum referring to it, that it does happen. I have been using my 510 for just over a month now, and the first auto battery I had in the kit was useless, still waiting for the replacement... LOL

Then today, I got those new design genuine 510 cartos, the ones without the filler in them, and not those horrible ceramic ones that taste really bad.

I got the genuine joye 510 cartos that you need to fill up with a syringe (not the cartomisers), Well I had two of these cartos to test.

One of them was awesome, huge vape, consistent, clean taste... I was very impressed I bought 6 more of them right away.

But then, when I filled the next one up with juice, and made sure it was clean and dry, screwed it into my manual battery, and it made a crackle sound, got 2 puffs out, then my freshly charged battery flashed a few times. Damn.

So I screwed another battery into it, and this battery flashed a few times as well. Then I tried another working cart on my batteries and discovered that my batteries..they are dead....:(

Death by carto....8-o

I am so upset I cant believe it.

So looked around here on how to bring these dead batteries back to life again..

Anyone know how to fix them?

They light up, but nothings happening..

cheers:)

What ohms did you get? low resistance attys and cartos may suck power too hard for a plain 510 battery (those are meant for Ego etc with fat powerful battery designed to handle LR attachments). Those clearomizers come in a bunch of different ohm ranges.

And are your batteries the manuals (which are sealed on the threaded end and safe from juice leaks) or autos?

Thanks Dormouse, that was my next question. LOL..

We suspect that you got them in one of the ohm's that pulls more power from your battery. It's possible that your batteries just didn't have enough power for them to draw from and they just gave out.

As far as I know, that's the end of them. I don't think you can "fix" dead batteries (if they truly are dead - which it sounds like they are)

so sorry for your loss.

Hi Dormouse

I got them from the link below, they are genuine joye510 carto's, that are made for the joye510 battery. I'm sure it was a freak incident as they are supposed to not kill batteries. i did pull the carto apart and found nothing unusual, but I don't really know what I am looking for, at least something broken or burnt, but nope.

Hi Rosa,

Yes you fill em up with a syringe in a hole in the centre, under two caps that you pull out. It has fluff inside that has a direct connection with an atty. It's a really cool design, and it tastes awesome and has massive huge clean vape. Bigger than regular soft top cartos. But the down side is they they have a tenancy to kill batteries...Like mine.

Yeah, I have the eGo mega cartomizer, it's just like those but bigger and cone shaped. It's a shame that killed your batts. Did you try recharging them yet? Any luck?

Yikes. I read the information. Since they state to "use with a 510". You would think it would be ok. But I surely wouldn't risk it.
I'd do as rosa suggested, and contact the company for a refund. They should refund your purchase AND replace the batteries
Then I'd find another vendor :p

Let me know what they say... I'm interested.
