My Darwin seems to be dead. It was working fine yesterday, and now it doesn't turn on at all when I rotate out the arm. I notice that the arm seems to lock in place snugly(Finally), and turns much more nicely than it ever has before, with just a little bit of resistance so it stays in every position, if only it would work at the same time! Wondering if something wiggled loose or into place inside it in my pocket?
Can I take it apart and have a look without voiding my warranty, and if not, how do I sort this out? I don't want to be without it for some long time period, but if it's this fragile I'm a little concerned about long term use, I bought it in September from HappyVaper, and I love it so far in terms of vapor production and use.:(

Check the paperwork that came with it to see if you have a warranty that is longer than Happy Vaper's 14 day warranty; then, if not, check with Evolv to see what your first move should be in getting it repaired. That's too expensive a unit to be voiding a warranty.

You do have a back-up PV, don't you?

All Darwin's come with a 2 year warranty. Since they haven't been out 2 years yet, all of them are still covered (unless of course it's been opened). Contact Evolv. While I've not had to send mine back for service, others on here have stated that Evolv sends one out next day, and you send yours back when you get it.

Just checked the happyvaper site, it says it has a 2 year warranty. Makes me glad again to have bought from Jack:) There was a small mistake in my initial order, and they're going to throw in the correct piece(adapter) next order and give me a small discount. I've ordered flavorart from them in the past, they always have excellent customer service, so I'm hopeful this will get resolved fairly easily!

ive been through 5 darwins, they seem to only last acouple months then die, why else would they have an automatic 2 year warenty, some people have been lucky and never had to send theirs in, others like me would have to send it back every couple years until the 2 years is up, then what...buy another one and send that back repeatively for the next two years...hmmm

Great service:) The owner of Evolv walked me through taking it apart, and putting it back together. Little trouble with the wheel still(not reading voltages correctly) but he has recommended a fix for that too. Having seen how the arm assembly goes together, I understand why I was told there is no need to worry about wear, I imagine the case would have to be broken into pieces before the arm changes in the slightest.

240$ every 2 years is a small price to pay for great vaping, in all likelyhood the product will be replaced by then with newer versions anyways, just look where we were 2 years ago. Most electronics haven't got anywhere near that durability, and break within a couple of years, so I'm not going to complain. Great service and a great design can make up in many ways for a lack of reliability, and this is a first generation of a new tech, always likely to be finnicky at first.

EDIT: Re happy vaper, not sure, it's the weekend, but if I can fix it myself then I won't bother sending it off, will let you know what happyvaper says either way.
