Decided to post this out in the open as well so it doesn't get buried in the Darwin thread. I was one of the lucky ones who got one from the first release as well, so this is my second one. After a solid 48 hours playing with both of them I can attest to the fact that they are mostly identical.

My Gear: I am running Boge 510 3.2 ohm Cartomizers. This is my preferred vape and at 8.4 to 8.5 I get a pretty steady 5 volts.

Button:
The button still has the pivot point at the bottom end so pushing the button closer to the atty side makes it much easier. Unlike the pics on the Evolv site the button just barely has any space below it. I think it was the beta units that had that large space. This newer Darwin has a slightly softer touch on the button. I don't have to push it with nearly the force I had to on the first one.

Adjustment Dial:
This too is almost identical on both units. My first one has a center point of 8.4 watts and the new one has a center point of 8.5 watts. My first unit the dial was VERY easy to turn. Just moving the arm up and down was often enough to brush the dial and cause the voltage to change. This newer one is a bit stiffer. No more accidental dial turns. WooHoo! Note: On my original one I used a tiny piece of black duct tape over the dial so as to not accidentally bump my settings out of whack.

Appearance:
I too am one of the people who got a new Darwin without the signature on the front. Bummer. I really liked that signature. Oh well. Other than that and the word Evolv being in a different place on the back. On the original unit the word Evolv was directly below the logo on the back. The new one it is at the opposite end. Also the new one the logo is silver where the older one was white. All of this is purely cosmetic and really doesn't matter to me in the slightest.

Atty Connector:
Ok, here there is a bit of a difference. The original unit is a tiny bit rough looking at the top of the threads. The new one is very clean looking. The threading itself is pretty much identical on both units. The threads are very precise and tight. The first few times you screw in the atty/carto it will be tight and hard to screw all the way down. After 24 hours this is much better. The other big difference is the swivel function of the arm. The older one the arm moves very smooth and easy. The new one the arm is VERY tight on mine. I am hoping this loosens up a bit in time. For now I just leave it in the fully extended position until I go to bed at night. For those who want to know...... I have been using both Darwins equally since yesterday. I got the exact same battery life out of both of them. One had the arm up and in the on position full time and the other was off except when actually vaping. So clearly the screen doesn't use enough energy to notice even after a full 24 hours.

Battery:
As I stated before in my review (in the regular section of Nhaler subform) the battery life is nothing short of fantastic. Using only 1 Darwin full time I can get 5 full mils of juice vaped before the battery hits the halfway point. This worked out to about 13-15 hours for me. I never seem to put the darned thing down. Using 2 of them evenly for a full 24 hours I only lost 1 power bar on each unit. Also of note: from dead the battery has yet to need more than 4 hours to reach full charge.

Charging:
This has been mentioned in several places but I am gonna mention it again just in case anyone missed it. The Darwin does NOT have an indicator to tell you when it is charging. The only way to know is when you first plug the charger into the Darwin the little green light on the charger dims slightly. Rest assured, if it is plugged into a functioning outlet and the light is on on the charger, it is charging. It is also worth mentioning that the Darwin can be charged with the atty arm in any position. At the halfway point on the battery meter you shouldn't need more than 2 hours or so for a full charge.

P.S. You all need to have 2 of these. Best I can figure with two of them fully charged if I don't ever sleep I should get about 44 hours on a single charge.

On a side note: Since I got my first Darwin I have hardly put it down. It goes every where I go. I can't even seem to let it go for a shower. It gets it's very own ziplock baggy with only the drip tip exposed. I know, I am addicted. Problem now is that I have two. That means I have one for each hand. I can see my future. Nothing will ever get done again because both of my hands will always be full and busy.

Pics below: The one at the top of each picture is the Original the bottom one is the new one. Both are Production models. I was not lucky enough to get in on beta models.

Actually, the rough movement seems to be on the newest run. My first one was really smooth. The newer one is a bit tight and rough. It is my understanding that the coating on the new batch was a bit thick causing the arm to be a lot tighter. So far this isn't a problem and it does seem to get better with use.
