Ok I am a bit freeked out. I started e cigs about 2 weeks ago. Loved it off the bat, haven't touched an analog or snus since I began. However, for the past 3 days, I can't taste my juice. Get tons of vapor. A TH. Just a basic blah taste. Thought it was my clearos. Changed them nothing. Cleaned them nothing. Replaced a head nothing.

So I searched here and saw a bunch of posts about losing taste??? What is that about?? Weirdly enough, my food tastes better already. So how am I not tasting my juice?Any of them!

Yup, it's kinda normal. One of the things I do to keep this from happening is to have a few PV's going at once with different flavors in them. I switch through them often. The other thing along the same vein is to change flavors often. I have about 10 flavors I can alternate between.

Other ways to tackle this is to stop vaping for a couple of hours or switch to non-flavored juice for a bit till your taste buds come back to life. Also, stay hydrated. Best of luck with it!

Your taste buds are coming back to life. It will pass in a couple of days.

But why do I taste food better?

Oh trust me I have been changing flavors often. As a new vapor, I am searching for my favorite. I also am drinking a ton of water.

Am I doing something wrong?? I don't want to lose this wonderful thing I have found to help me quit the tobacco!!!

OK, if you've researched this you know flavor does come back. Keep changing flavors often ... that's key for me. If you have 2 PV's, have them loaded with different juice and alternate between them. If you have only one battery, switch clearos often. One other thing might help is not to vape all the time. Take vape breaks like smoke breaks of old. Every 30 to 60 minutes, vape 4 drags of one flavor, 4 of another and then put it down for a while.

I am going through the same thing right now, and it has been about a week since it started. It happened to me once before for about 5 days and it is a lot less frustrating this time around since I know it will pass. I attribute it to not drinking nearly enough water and vaping way too much lately. Based on what I have read this happens to just about everyone at one time or another, especially around the 3-4 week mark. Hang in there and maybe use some straight menthol for a bit until your taste buds refresh. Rest assured, you are not alone!

Ok thanks guys. Sorry if I seem a bit crazy about it but I did see people who have gone for 3 months without it returning. I wanted to make sure nothing would push me in that direction. My daughter was born with a severe congenital heart disorder, so I am on a mission to get rid of analogs. How can I live destroying my heart knowing that she was born behind the 8 ball with hers. Thanks for the info.

It might be a coincidence, but I find fruit flavors do this to me.

All my flavors begin to taste the same. I just started going to a new vendor (ms ts bakery) and I'm finding their flavors don't give me "dead mouth".

A little change of pace, considering I was exclusively vaping fruit flavors and now I'm vaping baked goods.

Very common, it'll pass. I liked getting extra flavor when I could for several months after I started vaping. Menthol, mints, and cinnamon are options when you can't taste anything as those create a sensation along with taste that doesn't get blocked. If my juices taste muted these days it's always a case of dehydration. Scrubbing tounge with toothbrush may help too.

i had total taste loss a while ago... i started using a VERY strong menthol called "arctic wolf" from vaporgods and a strong wintergreen... dont remember where i got that one though.

after using those 2 for a day or so i went back to my arctic strawberry that i have been vaping continuously for 9 months now and it was tasty!

and of course, drink lots of water!

good for you! your daughter is adorable
I'd say that since you're like 2 weeks in your taste buds are probably just returning. remember to stay hydrated! and try switching out flavors
