Dead Rabbit RTA - Blue or purple?

Hello guys, haven't posted here in a long time. I learnt about the Dead Rabbit RTA today which ships in a couple of days from FT and I really like it, even though the tank is stupidly small and the bubble glass is fugly. I'm going to cancel the OBS 2 I ordered as I just received the OBS 1 yesterday in gold which I love. I'll buy the Dead Rabbit instead.

This seems ridiculous but I can't decide which of the blue or purple to get. I'm not normally that fussy about colour matching but this time I am. They both look really nice. I've been leaning towards the purple but am also considering the blue. Both look very classy and glossy, and both have really nice light coloured drip tips to contrast against the colour.

The drip tip on the purple stands out slightly more as the purple is darker. I'm receiving a Wismec reuleaux RX Gen 3 in a few days in purple/blue so it kind of makes sense to go with the purple, but which do you prefer? I know it's all personal choice, but I'd like to know what you favour. Would the blue even go with the Wismec? These two videos show them both very nicely. Oh I forgot to add it will also go on a G Priv 2 Prism chrome luxe edition mod, so basically, which ever colour you think will suit both mods. Thanks for any opinions in helping my decision on this rather silly question

Purple for that mod. That blue is too light. That's almost a Tiffany blue which will be hard to match to anything as the blues are usually darker. Unless of course the mod is from Tiffany's

How about on the shiny super glossy chrome G-Priv 2, does purple work well and better than the light blue?

Yeah, all the reviewers I've watched say the coil has to be just the right height. Something like, if it's a bit too low flavour drops off and if it's a bit too high it whistles. I'm just going to follow the way they do it and hope for the best, lol. I guess I don't mind messing around with it a bit.

I ordered it from them so haven't got it yet. I can't help thinking the blue suits it better especially looking at the blue screen display. But that causes me a dilemma as it would mean having to buy two dead rabbits which might be a bit OTT. The way I see it, purple for the purple and the blue for chrome. Unless you think the purple would look great on the chrome?

Since you'll be getting the purple one for your wismec anyways, why don't you just change the colour of the mod's screen to purple? That's what I'd do.

That's a good idea, I didn't know the mod could do that. Very cool! Hmm, but still leaves me dangling a bit as it's whether the blue or purple will look the most stunning against the chrome body I'm particularly thinking about.

Personally I'd buy with a SS or a black for the Smok. A black would also work with the Wismec as it's fairly dark. The purple might look ok on the Smok, but I get a little OCD on matchy matchy.

How’s your photoshop skills? Free graphical editors such a Gimp are fairly easy to use and it would not take much to copy, scale and paste the different colour atty’s onto different colour mods. Doesn’t have to be picture perfect but gives a very good idea on how well the colours may pair together.

I had originally ordered the black OBS 2 but won't be buying that now. And I ordered the Zeus single coil in blue but will change that to either black, or gunmetal. I like the gunmetal look, not sure if that would clash with chrome. I've got an SS Smok TFV4 which would work but I hate the thing. It guzzles and leaks so it's gone into my drawer for useless tanks hopefully never to be needed again. I generally find black and SS s bit boring these days. Like, everyone has black and SS.

Smok with the Gunmetal could work. Gunmetal is pretty versatile, especially as that has black panels but silver trim. I'd still stand by that purple for the Wismec. That should look really good.

Thanks Eskie, I'll ask FT to change the blue Zeus to gunmetal. Wasn't sure it would work with chrome but you've given me confidence. I've also decided to buy both the blue and purple Dead Rabbit.

I think you've got the bases covered. Let's face it, at the end of the day it's how good a vape you get and it sounds like you're in good shape. The blue could end up looking great on one or both. It's really hard to be sure until it's in your hand. I've been fooled by mod colors in the past so he same applies to photos of tanks.

If you love the rabbit, well, at some point I'm guessing you may want a backup I personally like the purple but if it comes and it vapes great but isn't a perfect match, well, you may like enough to want a backup for it especially Deese days.

Actually yeah, I thought the blue Zeus looked great in photos but a bit unexciting and almost tacky when I saw it in a review video. The gunmetal looks better in videos. However, the blue and purple Dead Rabbits look as stunning to me in review videos as in their promo photos. I think that's because the Rabbit is glossy, not matt like the Zeus, and has colourful drip tips.

Sounds like you’ve already decided on the purple. Seen a white Desire Rage mod with a purple Drop Dead at a local store and it looked AWESOME!! Came so close to a impulse buy it looked that good. And I'm not a fan of white!

Just took a look at some pics of those, does look very cool! Desire Rage seems to be a squonker. I wasn't a fan of white either, but I saw a reviewer last night with the gunmetal Zeus on a white mod and it looked amazing, such a clean look. I then decided to change my purple mod to a white one but then remembered it's already been shipped so too late.
