One of my Riva batteries blinks 10 times when button is pushed. I cleaned both the battery and the charger. The battery won't charge either. I connect it and the green light stays green instead of going to red.

I have tested the other battery that came with the kit. It is working fine and connects to the charger with no problem.

Usually when a Riva battery needs to be charged, It blinks a couple of times and then the led won't activate at all. I plug it in the charger and I'm good to go.

So I don't know what is up with this battery. All it's doing is blinking 10 times and not able to connect to the charger. Even after both battery and charger have been cleaned.

I do believe I have a six month warranty on my kit. I just wanted to get some feed back before I file a claim.

The same thing happened to one of my RiVa batteries. However I dropped it on a hard tile floor right before things started to go wrong.

I have cleaned all the threads, even inspected them with a magnifying glass. Clean as a whistle. The atomizer and charger seem to connect but in reality it does not. I've tested and retested everything and it simply does not work. I think I broke something when I dropped it.

I have three other batteries that all work great so I'm taking my lumps on the one I dropped. I'd like to hear what your supplier says when they get back to you. Sometimes batteries are just defective and it sounds like you might have gotten a badie!

No drops with the battery. The only wear any of my kit has is a slight flake of paint missing on the cone. I have no idea when that occured.

I'm sending the battery back for a replacement. I'll probally order a few things if they can throw it in with the shipping back to me.

Make sure you get a warranty everyone.

I went through 4 Rivas in a month. I dont know why I had such a problem with them and not my eGo. I think mine were all defective (they are the pink ones, dont know if that matters or not). Still. I rarely find any of these "my Riva is dead" threads so all in all I think its just the luck of the draw.

Wow...that's terrible Plantgirl! Were you able to return your bad batteries? I really LOVE my RiVa and I hope they haven't sent a bad batch of batteries out since they are gaining in popularity!

The 1st 2 (bought the kit) were returned after 1 week. he replaced those and 3 weeks later the replacements bit the dust and the vendor wouldnt replace them. (no more of my biz there).
I have sent the 2 broken ones to a member here who is desecting them and will let me know what went wrong. You do need a warrenty on these things I guess!!

Plantgirl, would you mind sharing the autopsy results with all of us? I had problems with my brand new Rivas too; they were replaced, but I don't like the fact that so many of them fail. I think I'll get an eGo next time...

I second that!

This may be one of those rare times when my degree in electronics can be put to some use outside work. I've been planning to postmortem one of mine when they fail. Better to get some advance info.

At least I know it happens. I just got my new joytech eGo yesterday and the exact same thing has happened. That sucker is dead as a doornail the very first time I try to charge it, and now about as useful as a back pocket on a shirt. LOL

I do have another one that came with the kit and it's working fine and even charged up fully with the charger although it only took about 15 minutes because the batteries are pretty much fully charged when you get them. But at least I know the other one is working. I just haven't used it very much.

There is one neat thing that came out of this. That Black Atty and Cart looks totally Awesome on a white 510. LOL At least I have 3 backups so not a total loss at the moment.

i've been thinking to charge with higher output voltage to shock the batt in order to wake it up ? well it happened with my handphone batts before.and it works .

Got my Rivas and everything was good for about 4 days then they started dying very quickly like a couple of hrs or less and one battery won't go 30 minutes.

Well...2 Riva batts dead after 19 days use...ugh! I'm wondering if it had something to do with the LR510 atty? My poor daughter....she is 3 weeks into vaping and almost completely off analogs. We are sharing my eGos and thankfully Glowgirl lives in my area, so we have 1 backup between the 2 of us. Also, I have an order coming in hopefully today that were going to be our backups, lol!
