I usually mix 5ml test batches and most of my final products are 10ml. I usually use 70% or 80% VG because I LOVE vapor and 70% works in the tanks I use and 80% is perfect for dripping.
This is my problem: I use nic juice in VG and VG itself from Wizard Labs. Yesterday I had to mix 10 bottles of 30 ml each. They were all 70-80 percent VG. The VG was so thick it took forever to add the VG to the 30ml bottles. I microwaved the VG for 60 seconds to make it more fluid which helped, but not enough.
I used 20ml syringes with the green lauer lock needles. I also used pipettes. Would using a graduated cylinder or something else help? I really need the help because I'm going to be making more 30ml bottles for 3 grand-nephews who helped me start using ecigs in the first place. Kinda a PIF situation. Thanks for any help in advance

I can relate, as my DIY is about the same PG/VG mix when complete. I use the same products from Wizardlabs. I use the 14ga needle and it takes a while for the syringe to draw the VG. I generally don't heat mine, either, until all ingerdients are added, then 15sec in the microwave. I add PGA to my DIY @ ~5%. To thin the finished mix some. In all reality, I guess I could pre-mix some VG w/ PGA to thin it from the start. I just thought of this, so results are inconclusive, ATM. It's an idea tho! PGA is not available in all states, so you could use the high-octane vodka or moonshine in a pinch.

I use Humco VG from Walmart and thin it 15% with water before mixing, but I don't know if that applies to the VG from Wizard Labs - is it already thinned? I have read that heating VG based liquid to 163 degrees reduces the molecule size to enhance blending and leaves the VG running thinner after cooling. Good luck getting the consistency you want!

Thanks! I've used the Humco VG in the past and I think it has already been thinned.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I forgot to mention that I hate throat hit and PGA/vodka really increases TH. I suppose I could use it for the people I make juice for. That's a thought.

I use a 20ml "Oral medicine dispenser" (syringe) that came with a fitted tube (guess it's ~2 - 3mm ID), same tube fits on the end of my smaller syringes without needle. It's long enough to get close to the bottom of my big mix base bottles. Still a little slow going for the VG but way better than trying it with a needle. For small 1-5ml batches I just use measured medicine droppers. If the final mix is too thick I'll add ~1 drop/2ml of distilled water.

Couldn't you just put a glass bottle of VG into a warm water bath and let it sit there for a while?

I use coconut oil on my skin and it hardens up in it's natural state if it's not summer, so I just take the squeeze bottle I have it in into the bath with me and it turns to liquid after a few minutes.

Seems like this would work for getting the VG to mix better.

Can't you also use a little vinegar for TH?
